Because this displays their vision for the future, you'd have to take inyo account how much might change in the future. Considering the speed of technological advancement, battery lives may be much longer.

In the far future, batteries will be a non-issue, or not needed. In the closer future, I think they'll just charge super fast, even if the duration is not that much more than they are today. So instead of 30+ minutes, it'll be more like 30 seconds to 2 minutes for a full charge.

+jade kramer Not necessarily. The trick is to make these technologies affordable - only then they'll be widely spread. Just look at the tablet market. You can now get a brand new kindle fire tablet for 60€. When tablets were still pretty new I bought a "cheap", low performing one for about 3 times as much.

This video is amazing. Aside from being a little corny (but that's a given with a lot of advertisements) I thought the technology in this clip was absolutley fascinating. It's crazy for me to think about how far technology has already come from the time the first computer was created, and there is still so much potential for more improvement. My favorite part of this technology was the sharing information between doctors in a hospital, I think it shows great potential for furthering research on different medicines and procedures, making sure patients get the best care they can possibly receive. #EDCMOOC

10 years ago it was unrealistic to think about carrying around in your pocket a device that could make calls, send messages, browse the internet, take photos, record HD video, provide maps, use GPS, and listen to music. Don't worry, I never experienced a power outage in my lifetime. I live in Las Vegas. The reason is that the power lines will probably be underground in most locations in those days. That means power outages will happen less often. If you lose your device, you can find it thanks to the device itself. It will likely be able to track itself (if it's not dead) if you lose it. And it is less likely to break because the Corning Gorilla Glass in the video is stronger than today's glass.

Have you not watched the unpacked version of this? It explains most of this is doable now. There are things like clear window displays that came out a couple of years ago. Large wall displays are probably going to be AMOLED, or something similar.

I know I’m going to get a lot of hate for this but, I really do hope that someday, the United States is more like this. Not necessarily the floating holograms, but it looks like a future where we poured an astronomical amount of money into our education and health care system, using technology to truly enhance both. I would love if my kids went to a school that had technology like this to really give truly enhance their education. I would also love the idea of medical technology being so advanced that I as a patient could receive care from experts all over the world who could analyze my condition in real time. Sad thing is, I really do truly feel we could do most if not all of that NOW, but why would you want that when you can keep throwing money at the military industrial complex to keep churning out useful idiots for the next 1,000 years?

This is already happening in Australia...the classrooms whiteboards have been replaced with touchscreen smart boards and every student has either a laptop or iPad...all we need now are touchscreen furniture lol

This technolgy looks very fascinating, Im 12 so i can probably experience this,but i dont know if this will be too powerful for us and make us go mad.

My math teacher made us watch these videos and she said that mostly everything in the videos were already made but they are improving them and they aren't going to release everything in a few years. I don't know if that is true but it is so cool

Yup your maths teacher is right majority of tech shown is invented already it is matter of improving them, Tesla Model S is live example of that big car display in an sedan.
