So glad you love this place as I am Cornish, lived here all my life, born and bred and feel blessed every day. The flower boxes are the icing on the cake for me. You take in everything and experience as much as you can in so little time. You are the kind of visitors we need not the ones who are looking for a pool and nightlife. We need the ones that are interested in our arts and crafts, our history and culture. We always have a hose pipe ban so I have buckets for rainwater everywhere outside. I have to say that I get great satisfaction from stealing from the water board what I think of as what God gave us for free. It’s also so therapeutic for me and reminds me that, although we have the highest water rates in England and are a peninsula, if you spend a few moments a day getting the water collected, you can get your monthly payments down from £33 a month to just £9. I know my rates are low to some others but I just like beating the water companies at their own game lol!! So glad you all enjoyed your stay xx

Last yr when in st ives harbour boats came in and behind was two seals (following boat for fish guts apparently) Omg they are massive at least the size of a dingy boat. You can take a boat trip from the harbour to seal island. It’s basically several large clusters of rocks where seals lay and sunbathe.
