Great video Wayne. I fish a stretch nearby and they drive me bonkers! In recent years I've found it too frustrating to go after 8am with the paddle boarders. Great comment "Am I invisible" !!

Lovely stuff mate, I've been mullet fishing in Cornwall for over 40 years and kayaks and paddleboarders have become a massive problem in recent years. I admire your restraint, I sometimes wish I could be more like that! As you say, you seem to become strangely invisible when fishing.

You really need to see the Mullet in the dockyard Devonport Plymouth nearly as big as the torpedoes they use in their submarines

Lovely video, felt your pain at the paddle boarders. I fish a lake that allows jet skis and with acres of water to go at where di they choose to do there latest trick? Right in front of me! Thought you handled them brilliantly

Really enjoyed this video just what I was looking to watch and learn for myself to try. By the looks of it your in a little village beginning with G further up the rivers. Right by me first place I thought of trying myself. Would you mind me asking what reel and rod you used wayne?

I love fishing. If you characterise an animal that doesn't want to be pulled from it's environment and eaten as a tricky little animal, you may call me a tricky little animal. I managed to buy some tiny, treble hooks and I used banana as bait, and I caught a few big mullet. I also bought a cast net, learned how to use it and caught a lot of bass, with small mullet for bait.

I definitely don't eat them, everything always goes back. Good work on the Bass 🐟

@@TheShoreHunter if the water is clear and not muddy like a estuary Mullet are nice to eat 👍 Golden rule when hunting is only take what you need , sad to say a lot of people don’t follow this rule and disrespect their quarry. Mackerel suffer the worst abuse when people (I won’t call them anglers) catch more than they are going to use, keep catching them with some sort of blood lust because there’s a shoal is in front of them 😔. Nice to see you returning fish 👍 but nothing wrong with taking anything from the wild as long as it’s made use of, and it’s sustainable.
