Fabulous interaction with your daughter! You can see how much she loves you because you both seem to genuinely enjoy each others company. Love & spend joyful hours on outings with your children while they are still willing to spend time with you. Before you know it. . .you will be a grandparent and experiencing it all over again!

Sounds fantastic! I am glad to say that we have a very good relationship with both of our children, always have! It's such a tricky path to tread between parent and friend!! Hopefully we have a few years before we are grandparents - we would have to stop filming!!! LOL, Sarah :)

Looks an interesting place to visit but highlights the dangers that these poor creatures have to face on a daily basis due to mankind's irresponsibility. Thanks for sharing this with us, cheers Alan

Our abundant use of plastic can clearly be seen at the sanctuary - great shame that we can't seem to change things more quickly. Anyway, we have changed our freezer bags for long life tubs and sandwich bags to paper ones! We will work on the rest gradually... Sarah :)

My granddad lived just round the corner (literally you could hear them being fed in the morning) from the seal sanctuary. It's a wonderful place that I miss so much.

I bet the seals made a lot of noise - they love their feeding time!! Sarah :)

@@CornishWalkingTrails They did and I loved it. Morning we were woken up by the seals, always with a smile on our faces and we'd go to sleep watching helicopters taking off and landing at RNAS Culdrose. My granddad was amazing. He was American and larger than life. He passed some time ago in St Ives where he retired to a nursing home after his wife (my step-gran) passed away. Gweek is a magical place and I miss it so much. Especially during these difficult times. I look forward to taking my one year old son to where his great-granddad lived one day.

What a fun trip! Those seals are precious! Really neat medical center for the seals. Thank you for taking us on this different kind of adventure! Fun! I love otters!!!! We saw some in Yellowstone National Park a few years ago.

The otters were really fun to watch and I was fascinated to learn that we have large numbers here in the South West of England - I've never seen one in the wild. I must keep looking - a bit harder!! Sarah :)

Thank you for sharing this. We did go to this many years ago. They do such good work. Have a good weekend...Snow sees to have gone, at last!. Greetings, Julie.
@CornishWalkingTrails6 жыл бұрын
Yes, snow has all gone! It hung around for a few days, causing havoc! The shelves in our supermarkets are getting back to normal, distribution was severely disrupted by the snowfall in Devon, preventing deliveries to us in Cornwall - we resorted to UHT milk! Sarah :)

They are soooo cute, even when they are fighting! The winter storms combined with spring tides have swept the immature pups off some of our beaches, leaving them orphaned, hence why there are seals EVERYWHERE! Sarah :)

@CornishWalkingTrails6 жыл бұрын
My new assistant! Yes, Andrew works most weekends and Milly was more than willing to visit the seal sanctuary in his place. Being a teenager, she is reluctant to be part of the usual videos, which we totally understand! but I think she had a great time!! Sarah :)

Hi, thanks for looking out for us - a true fan! I'm glad you enjoyed this video. We had a brilliant time! I think watching the younger kids reactions was priceless - Milly kept saying "They're so noisy!" and I had to keep reminding her that she was like that once! Sarah :)

It's kind of hard these days to not use plastic. I think the key is to dispose of it properly and not leave it lying about or throw it into our waters. That'll go a long ways to help keep our wildlife safer.

Cornish Walking Trails awe I am beginning to feel like a real cornish neighbor of yours and its' awesome. I still can't believe you and Andrew are old enough to kids that age. Must be all that clean cornish wind and trails. I really need to get out there

To our surprise, our kids think it's kind of 'cool' that we have a KZbin Channel, although Milly does not publicise this too much at school, understandably! You sound really keen to visit!! That's cool, Sarah :)
