Awesome job, you did great. I think for women that suffer from alopecia, thinning hair bald edges, this great for someone not wanting to take a wig on and off everyday. After the sew in was completed you really couldn't tell the hump. I personally would buy a wig, but for people that want the security of being in place and not moving I get it. I'm not good with sewing a wig down. You did great.👍🏾

For those complaining about the "hump" it is from that huge braid not from the wig cap itself, I'm sure if the hair was flat and the cap was put on top it would be fine but the sew in still looks okay, it just looks more full in the back which majority of people's real hair is like anyway

What are the benefits of using the cap? Is it a more protective method? I would think the cap might rub the edges, sides and back.
@qtepiee888 жыл бұрын
+Nadine Mitter The only thing I can think of is that the cap is for people that dont know how to cornrow well or at all or people who dont like to commit to certain styles and want to remove and put it back on, or for people who are balding in certain areas or are completely bald and wants a sew in and doesn't want to use glue. Im not sure why people would put this cap over nicely cornrowed healthy hair...

Not everyone can have their hair braided. My hair if fine to medium fine in some areas and braiding thinned my hair so much that I haven't had it braided since: and it's been at least 10 yrs. This braided cap would be great for the health of my hair. Also I am finicky and like to change my hair a lot. This would enable me to do so. For those saying why not buy a wig. Well, wigs have to be manipulated anyway to fit one's face and head. You can't just slap them on and go. So if I have the chance to customize such a thing, why not? Don't overthink things too much. It really is just hair. Thanks for sharing this video. I didn't even know they made these. I plan to make some crochet wigs and this will be perfect.
@sixfigureglowdealer8 жыл бұрын
And why didn't you sew on the bottom braids or closer to the bottom. That is too much space if someone wanted to lift her hair.

I just started doing my own hair and have gravitated to crochet styles as protective styles. I can cornrow but I can't corn row multiple different braid patterns, just straight back and that doesn't work all the time when it comes to styling the hair. Would this be a good one to use if I wanted to try up-do's for my crochet styles? Also, I like a side part so how could I create that with this cap?

I deal with what looks like alopecia. My hair loss is a result of the major disease, Sarcoidosis ( commonly now called "The Bernie Mac Disease). It's a horrific disrase. Hard to even explain it. I've loved wigs and hair pieces since I was 18.... I once had a marvelous head of hair. I could go either way. It's devastating to lose ypur hair ( head, lashes, and eyebrows) I don't have a choice. Because my hair was so beautiful, I choose to not by cheap and tacky wigs, or pay for messed up doos. So give these people some slack.

You still need it to hold on to something and it can't be loose hair. It has to be something right that won't shake off or move. So it has to be cornrows. Or people wouldn't bother spending 2-3 hours braiding it if it were that easy.
