Here is 3 little bits of the Trans Euro Trail that I always enjoy.
(Especially on my new Honda CRF300L)
Not too challenging, but weather dependant, as always.
Here is the TET site, where you can download the full GPX
(Select UK, GWT)-

Spent the past 3 weeks in Cornwall on my KTM 890 adventure. Did all these lanes and Lambriggan a few times, came from the other direction once and it’s much more challenging but great fun. Thanks for the recommendations.

How are you finding the Honda . I'm 6"2 and 15.5 stone. Cheers for any information on this bike. Presently riding a drz 400 which I love but it's Kickstart only . Going to catch up on some of your other footage as going to get down to Cornwall when I've completed Devon. There are some nice ones in Devon and not too much tarmac on the bits I've covered so far

It’s good. Missing my Tenere700 on the roads obviously. But when it’s very steep or slippy much happier on the lighter 300L. It is gutless around the high revs. But torquey in the low revs. Gearing is great. 1 and 2 super low for defending or climbing off road. And 6th gear pretty tall for cruising at 70mph. Suspension is squishy and basic. I think I will want to upgrade it. Around £500 will get suspension much better. So factor that price in. With your weight and any luggage it will be squashed right down stock. I’m about 13 stone and it feels too weak for me. It’s fantastic value. And reliable. And will get you anywhere your DRZ will. But just a bit underpowered and under sprung. So go into it knowing that. Personally the power is fun amount off road and torque and light clutch makes slow technical single track easy. So you will cover a lot of miles before getting tired. But you just may find it lacking in power and springs after a DRZ

Do I just put in lambriggan farm to get here? Just got a Yamaha yzf 250 and need some where to learn to ride

Yep if you just put in lambriggan, that should get you there. Worth downloading Trans Euro Trail from the dot org main site. That has lots of legal green lanes on it.

There is a good bit at botallack. (Above lands end) I’ve seen a bunch of 4x4s there. Nice views too. Think I have it on video… let me look

Yep. If you go to this vid and go to 5:30 I show most of that run. Nice bit of coastline and only one tricky bit that you can easily drive around- kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHWzcoWGbZ2KkK8

I would check out Botallack or one near Holywell bay for 4x4. Both fun for four wheels. (And have nice views too) Both of TET.

Would you say they’re doable on a GS?
@biscuitsalive
@biscuitsalive Жыл бұрын
Yep. With the right tyres and when it’s not too wet /muddy. Go with a mate tho. Just in case, you never know. I’ve never ridden a GS but I did all these lanes on my Tenere 700 and that’s pretty heavy.

Note, lambriggan going up hill (heading south) in muddy conditions is probably the hardest on a big bike, can be slippy after lots of rain..

@@EpicMotorcycleAdventures I’m about the same size. But you maybe a better rider than so take everything I say with a pinch of salt. (Only been riding for couple of years) But I’ve ridden those lanes with guys on same Size sort of bikes as GS (1000cc adv bikes etc) So I think u will be fine. But like I said ride with someone in case you need help lifting/pushing
