Quite odd how different two can be. For me the slower(to an extent) the better and tapping instead of scratching for me as well. I find most artists are to fast for me the aggressive nature makes it hard for me to relax

Being honest, the original yeti (not the x) is a really damn good microphone if set up right. Especially for the low price, plus you dont even need an amp for it. Plain old usb.
