You should do a video on how to bend the bar back I find the same thing and when you lose the pressure the gas tends to leak

Not wind proof, but if you want a pipe lighter these really are the best you can get. They are well-made and reliable. Every other type of lighter I've had either failed or had some kind of manufacturing defect.

thanks for the informative review! gorgeous lighter! may i ask where you bought it? i see them selling online and this particular one for $115-130 so i was curious to know where you got it for only $100. also, to turn on the flame, i noticed that you slid the bar from right to left using your right hand. i'm left handed and was wondering if it would also work if you were to flick it left to right?

+2F2FXINF I got it from a local tobacco shop in Houston. No, it's not designed for left hand use. The gas valve is positioned in such a way that the flint striker wheel must turn clockwise(right) in order for it throw the Sparks in the direction the the gas valve. If it was turned left (counterclockwise) it would throw the spark in the opposite direction.

Nice, I'm "abusing" the temper the same way you do. Makes me wonder if this is maybe intentional? Anyway this is the best lighter i've had so far. It's not cheap but definitely worth the high price, had some other lighters for my pipes but there always was some or another flaw. The Old Boy is pretty much "flawless" especially its big tank, at least compared to other lighters this one lasts at least twice as long! Recommended to every pipe smoker!
