Since its so well insulated and light I usually light it on my porch and let it burn for a few minutes, just to get the first smell out. And then carry it inside while it’s burning. The same procedure to shut it off

Use a usb fan on low for circulation I used this in my van last winter it did a great job

Just in case you happen to run out of batteries, would you be able to ignite it manually (lighter, match,..)?

Yes you can use a lighter, one of those long ones is good, just lift the burner slightly and light the wick.

Any idea where to get the chimney glass mines broken? Have checked online but cannot find any spare parts.

No it will clog the wick, C1 grade paraffin only.

Wouldn't these cause condensation build up on windows?

Yep they can do, I don’t think it’s too bad though, in very cold weather I get condensation but I think it’s more from cooking in the kitchen than the heater. Burning the paraffin does add a bit of moisture to the air. It’s not such a bad thing compared to central heating as that can be very drying and cause dry skin etc. They are better in bigger spaces with ventilation, my house is quite open plan so I don’t have issues. Before I had paraffin heaters I also had about the same condensation, mainly pots and pans in the kitchen or washing dishes or steaming stuff in the microwave causes it bad but only when it’s freezing out.

Yes it has a lovely homely cozy smell of paraffin oil when you first start it up and turn it off.
