Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) from plasma filament, perhaps dozens of times the size of the Earth... Normally we associate CME events with large solar flares but sometimes, and in this case, we get to see a huge cloud of charged plasma get shot out of the sun's atmosphere (Chromosphere) from shifting magnetic forces so powerful they are difficult to image.
