Gail is my least favourite Coronation Street character and this scene shows why I hate her. She was just plain horrible to David by forbidding him to come to his own sister's wedding like that.

I don't know why everyone thinks Gail is a great mother.watching old clips. She refused to let him live with Martin after he moved out. She let Richard Hillman scream at him and verbally abuse him and kick him out of the house.Martin was the one who stood up.for him. She didn't believe David when he claimed Phil hit him. Her and Sarah made fun of David not having a girlfriend They made fun of him for his rabbit dying. Gail kept the fact that Tina had an abortion from him although funny how Gail thought that Nick deserved to know Natasha was pregnant before she aborted talk about a hypocrite. She didn't care that nick slept with David's wife and kept a secret. When nick and David where arrested for stealing from Audrey she visited David and didn't even ask how he was doing just wanted him to protect nick in prison.

@@pogmothoinriiii Exactly. Also, it seems like Gail was using this as an excuse for her lazy parenting like "oh well I've done everything, he's beyond help" despite the fact it's basically her fault he turned out the way he did.
