Agreed! Here was the red flag for me...her surname was Pattaya ..a city in Thailand! Maybe it's a surname too but I never googled it!! Also English is very hard to master for speakers of non-romance/Germanic language without lots of immersion which could take years!...poor Fred!

John Savident is an ok actor.But he nails it as Fred.but his shocked reaction towards the end was terribly acted. I notice he’s a very tactile actor I couldn’t cope with folk like that 😂

@@LeviJamesRE That is a fair point mate, Even though it's fiction and he's obsessed and desperate for love he never learns, He jumps in both feet first without getting to know a person, I just watched an episode where he promised to leave Maureen Holdsworth everything and they weren't even dating at that point, Going to leave a woman he only knows his fortune than his own nephew at the time, And to think you get people like that it's i do feel sorry for them, But i would rather be alone than be desperate enough to be with someone because of my bank book, Plus im glad he didnt make it to the alter with Shelly she was a bad one
