Gary lied and the Factory Roof was never unsafe because think about it, Phelan replaced the Roof over a year before and nothing happened before that, if Phelan had done a Bochered Job to screw Carla over, the Factory would’ve collapsed way before Gary ‘discovered the Roof was unsafe’. He just lied to Carla and he should be in Jail and as if he’d be able to predict that the Roof was so unsafe at that very moment and as if he’d know for definite. Thinking back, I think people should’ve known that Gary was lying and Gary needs to be in Jail for Rana, Rick, Robert and Derek’s deaths and for causing Carla’s Mental Breakdown and Laura to abuse Kelly.

Exactly it's not about Rick that was self defence but Rana was a young woman, he sabotaged that roof, he is responsible for Carla's breakdown, loan shark, Robert and Derek are also dead because of him

Who else thinks it COULD actually have been Rick who sabotaged it! Ok, Gary blames himself as well, but we never actually saw who did the sabotage. All we know is, it was a man. Could have been Rick, to damage Gary's work-and let's face it, it's the sort of thing he'd have done! I actually find it easier to believe it was him than Gary!

Pamela Horton I remember that, but if he blamed himself for getting into debt with Rick, then maybe in his mind he did cause it, even though he didn't actually, manually do it. Maybe he was thinking 'well, it's my fault Rick sabotaged it.'
