This was one of the darkest storylines I always thought Jamie deserved to run away with Frankie, Danny was a great character in many ways but he proved he was just a villain in the end. I'm glad Corrie stopped these extremely dark storylines as the show was turning out to much like Eastenders which is the furthest thing from real life, this show should be real life slightly exaggerated it's always been responsible with the way it handled real life things, this storyline I remember no one in my family liked as it was too messed up.

I believe that the mid to late 2000s had some really dark story lines the rape of Carla the death of tony the tram crash the Baldwin feud this helped to elevate the shows realism making it more enjoyable for the casual viewer however it would be in the early 2010s where the storylines would be much lighthearted and even today the show relies on comedy I see no gritty realism forefrounted like this arc did back in the day
