They wouldn't have arrested him if they didn't have new evidence. So this lawyer's jibe about being innocent in a court of law is absolutely stupid.

@@stephenmurphy2212 regardless of how the trial goes remaining silent until you speak to your lawyer is a good idea. Anything you say can be used as evidence. You don't want to say the wrong thing. That's why Corey said no comment when asked if the clothes were his. If he said yes then that screws him over if the DNA evidence wasn't good enough to prove it. If he says no that that can screw him over in trying to get the lightest sentence possible as he lied.
@jenjones903 жыл бұрын
In fairness, lots of people get arrested without conclusive evidence against them...for example the evidence could be circumstantial. But he would have spoken to the solicitor before interview. She likely told him to give a no comment interview...so he obviously didn't tell her about the clothes.
@gravemind65363 жыл бұрын
Its very easy to arrest someone you can have the most flimsy evidence but thats enough to arrest for up to 24 hours. In this instance the police had indisputable evidence however that is not always the case. In Instances where there is a lack of real evidence or a your word against theirs scenario asking for a solicitor and giving a no comment interview is usally best.
@lewiswise78083 жыл бұрын
Corey is without a doubt a villain, but not exactly the most clever villain. I mean putting the clothes in a rucksack and throwing them in the river is not the best way to destroy evidence, he should've burnt the clothes and he'd've got away with it then. Silly boy. Luckily he's been caught and will now pay for his crimes and get his just desserts.

Gravemind well he sabotaged the factory roof that killed rana and he arguably has blood on his hands where Robert and derek are concerned because he ruined derek’s life so much that it caused him to plan to shoot and kill Gary in revenge which resulted in him holding everyone at gunpoint and accidentally shooting Robert and killing him, and then derek ended up falling off winter wonderland and dying himself, also you could argue that he has their blood on his hands because he allowed fiz to buy the gun thinking it was an antique gun not realising that it had bullets in it

Corey Brent.. going from a ruthless bully, now reduced to a snivelling immature baby.. like all bullies, they're only tough as long as they have a mob to back them up, or they choose a victim who's either vulnerable or smaller or weaker than they are. Take all that away, and they're as tough as warmed up butter on a plate.

Whilst I did like Seb, he wasn't always an angel himself: he committed assault 4 years ago when he punched and kicked Jackson Hodge and then spent 4 months in a young offenders institution. Although I do admit what Corey did to Seb was a different ball game altogether. Seb was not essentially bad, he was driven to do a bad thing because he felt Jackson was trying to come between him and Faye, whereas Corey was a true and proper baddy who was intent on harming and killing Seb just for the hell of it, although now it'll probably haunt him for the rest of his life and rightly so. Seb had to pay for what he did to Jackson and now Corey is paying for what he did to Seb, justice is very sweet.
@lewiswise78083 жыл бұрын
@Phoebe Olivia He did redeem himself during the Pat Phelan storyline, but a few months later he trashed Tracy Barlow’s shop and let his Mum take the blame for it. Even Tracy new Seb did it, but after Abi threatened to ruin her family life she went along with it. When Abi was being sentenced Tracy nearly revealed the truth but then chickened out. But having said that it was Tracy's fault it all happened in the first place. After that, Seb did redeem himself from then on.
@gravemind65363 жыл бұрын
On balance Seb did more good than he did bad. He came to the village a young troubled teen he did his best for the twins at a very young age when Abi was letting them down. He helped save Alina from the human traffickers. His biggest mistake was giving Jackson a beating whilst he was on the street. He also tried to bring Phelean down too. Trashing a shop is not great but the level of harm from that is not that great compared to some of the harm he helped prevent or at least tried to. As time went on Seb turned into a good guy and if his life had not been ended so soon he would have gone on to do a lot more good. I think its important to judge people on balance and intentions rather than single incidents.
@lewiswise78082 жыл бұрын
@@gravemind6536 You are right, on balance Seb did more good than bad. I guess you can say a good deed erases a bad deed, and Seb definitely tried to erase his bad deeds by doing good deeds. Overall I think Seb turned out to be a good person in the end and had he not had his life cut short, by evil Corey, he would've, as you said, gone one to do greater and better things.
