This is bad writing behind the scenes when Alina and Tyrone got together there was something to it, now just feels like they've decided to scrap that and turn it into a jokey midlife crisis storyline. Sometimes in real life people fall for each other when one is older and one is younger more often than not the older partner makes the other one slightly more mature. Tbh though it wasn't a good idea to put them together the audience loves Fiz and Tyrone, after all the storylines they've had together they're just meant to be. I'm not saying it's more realistic though it probably is but it's just good storytelling, some couples are meant to stay together. Feels a little soon after the Jane thing to. Plus Maria doesn't suit the moral high ground when she's been a cheating skankoid for over 20 years.

@@woahkana I think the characters do genuinely have feelings for each other. If you look at the character of Tyrone I remember way back in the Kirsty situation, when Carla said something about him to Peter and told her to stop that he didn't believe that Tyrone was capable of being a wife beater, because he had been in a similar situation where people didn't believe him. This is important because Tyrone has always been the submissive partner in his relationships even the healthy ones, this in my mind makes him a lot like Hal from Malcolm In The Middle. It doesn't take anything away from his masculinity. Tyrone has just never been all that confident when he gets a girl he feels like he must make her happy, sometimes despite his own happiness. If we're being totally honest Alina is the hottest thing to hit the cobbles in years, she's just gorgeous. Tyrone has had some hot girlfriends but not on her level. I think he just is blown away she'd be interested in him. Alina's trauma has to be taken into account on how we met her, remember she is a human trafficking victim. Everything about her was suppressed for a few years, she was under threat of death or god knows what else. (Remember how beautiful she is there's other businesses they could have forced her into) David, Sed and some others helped her find her voice again. She even admits she used to be confident and strong before all that. So I believe all this is symptom of her voice being given back to her. However if they just talked they'd probably work everything out, sadly I think it's just another throw away storyline though when it could be more. Worst decision they ever made was not giving her and Seb a relationship, they had real chemistry as actors and was arguably a better more stable relationship than Sed had with anyone even Faye.
