Eh up it’s a go-er this one… When the fire engine arrives it is seen going up the Street past the corner shop, but in the second shot it approaches from the Rosamund St end..

Total shocker,watched it back in the day, betts screaming was very scary,but of course very understanding, only thing that kept calm was Terry's nike peagus trainers well smart, I'm glad she was OK they were brave.

Haha there was a cast of 60+ at the time lol they couldn't write something for them all and to be fair what would Audrey add to the situation only a comical joke. I also couldn't see Alf doing an awful lot either.

​@cliveevans9795 Alf and Audrey lived on the street during this time because the McDonald family didn't buy the house from them until 1989. That's Rita (or a body double) looking out the window at 03:41.

​@stephenmcconnell1000 You're right. Alf and Audrey moved into No 11 after the short-lived Clayton family moved out in 1985, and would remain at the house until 1989. Surprisingly, they weren't involved in the fire episode but given it was June they might have been off on their summer holidays! Rita may have been sorting the papers at the Kabin. I presume this is why she didn't feature.
