Loads of people were/are unhappy at how "draconian" Illinois gov. was at dealing with Covid. But the cases compared to other states shows we ended up doing something right. I hope we continue to lower those cases and not just plateau only for it to rise again. 😬

I love our city of Chicago very much.And it hurts me very much to hear about the hundreds of murders and destruction that are taking place.I want you to let the people of Illinois know that all these bandits who have ravaged our beautiful city are in prison.I want to know what you're doing to restore security in the state.And why some residents have to work hard and pay increased taxes by 50%,while others can Rob ,steal and kill people,even children, with impunity for the same money.The Democrats show that they are ready to destroy everything and bring up a new person who instead of working will wait for a handout from the state.This is what leads to the destruction of our beloved America.You're a smart man, but we're not stupid, either.Enough is enough.I don't want to offend anyone,but my soul hurts.Thanks a lot.

Spread can happen from the protests to, it fits the time frame, all across the States, just a fact. Even though , the protests are understandable , covid doesn’t care. Now is the wrong time , and our first responders, and all essential , need all people to respect them to.

@@AboutFace-gq1tx I couldn't agree more. But every politician and every medic are frightened to call the protesters out. I've heard Jacinda Ardern rebuke them. She said the congregating isn't fair to the people who have made sacrifices to slow the spread. And she's absolutely right. Medics have lost their lives fighting this SOB. And the irony is Covid is disproportionately affecting black people. Black lives matter. Yes stop risking them!

This guy has taken ALOT OF CRAP, from a lot of people but he’s sticking to his guns and doing the right things...like actually listening to his science and medical advisors....I wasn’t so sure about JB when he took over, but now I think he’s a very competent leader and a good man. If he decides to run for governor again, he will get my vote next time around.

Those other states DID NOT do the phases as we did in Illinois, and they ARE NOT wearing masks, and ARE NOT practicing social distancing. THOSE actions are the differences between what's been happening in IL and those other "selfish people" states 😉

Lisa Marie Unfortunately not everyone is wearing masks. I bartend and have been back to work since June. I can tell you that where I work in Lake Co. 90% of our customers are NOT wearing masks. Very annoying and it has been that way since June...just waiting now for a second wave. Some selfish people out there...🤦‍♀️

The difference is Illinois has someone who listen to medical professionals and doesn’t care about the politics of it all. Places like Florida, Texas and Arizona governors never really put in place a serious stay at home order and then opened way too early without meeting the standards to open. Illinois numbers have been falling for over five weeks now...if numbers look like they are gonna go back up Illinois will just close again and reevaluate how to better reopen when the time is right.

I hope when redistricting occurs next year after the census, we can eliminate d+30 districts in the north east of the state and r+20 in the south. I live in Illinois first in the suburbs and I dont feel my values being represented. I wish suburbs werent chunked with regions of the city of chicago, it drowns out suburban votes and policies. The way local government issues should be handled vary widely across illinois first. Oak forest and Tinley park are very different then the chicago area. If pritsker allows for fair redistricting and removing the suburbs from the city's district. He will have my vote.

Governor Pritzker... that we've made it to phase 4 is a great thing. Little by little, our state opened different things. Not happy with the snail like pace, but it has worked for Illinois...where in Florida, Texas, California, Arizona, etc.. cases have skyrocketed. But, now do your job again, governor Pritzker. Many restaurants in Peoria/East Peoria are refusing to open their dining areas- what selfish bullshit!!😠 Think of all your customers who want to sit in your establishment and eat. You are allowed to seat people every other table, clean areas thoroughly, and bring more of your employees back to work...I plead to you governor Pritzker- you wasted no time shutting things down in March and April. Now, being in phase 4, give more incentives for businesses to open their dining room areas... better yet, force them to do this. We people of Illinois deserve to be able to actually sit inside restaurants and eat

I know we have lost a lot of rights in this country. I also know we have handed many over willingly out of fear and ignorance. Now we are forcing businesses again as well as citizens to do what we want when we want? Maybe it's time to force government and politicians instead of what was once a free society. Casinos 50% average small business and restaurant 25%? I work for small restaurant. Thanks for the unemployment which equaled a little less than I was actually earning. Now going back to work earning 25% of what was earning it's not really such a good deal. Let's not forget this not only effects businesses large and small it affects people. Neighbors relative's friends. It's easy to say go get another job. I know I'm not alone when I say at 50+ years old I'm going to have to work twice as hard and more hours at another job. I guess I'm just a casualty of war. Had to be someone. When it becomes you as the target of political tactics and schemes and scams that ultimately benefit them maybe you will see things differently. If for one minute you think any of this about protecting the average citizen take a good look at our healthcare system. We got really good deal on that! Apologize for the rant but the last thing we need in this country is to give up more control to this corrupt self serving government. Remember, they are never going to give us the opportunity to vote on anything that takes something away from them. Quite the contrary.
