Yes, it was a bittersweet ending. Although I think they did it in good taste. I love when Emily takes the 'breath of life.' It takes my breath away. Well, it would if I had any. ;) Anyway, I was sad that Emily didn't end up with Victor, but I was still happy that Victor and Victoria finally ended up together. Aside from that, I agree; Emily had more, shall we say, 'spunk.' On the other hand, Victoria's mother did say that music was 'improper for a young lady; too passionate.' Hence the fact that Emily was so much more talented.

Yes, she was. She just didn't have the same opportunities as Emily (If you can get past the fact that she's, well, dead.), whereas Emily actually had the opportunity to learn all those things she's talented in now.

the problem with emily was that she was dead. her story was over. the movie stops when it runs out of film, thus with life. the reason most of the dead were hanging around was some unfinished business. notice how when emily finally had her wedding, she was able to let her anger go and she disappeared. she finally realized how to make her friend happy was to let him have his wedding, even though he tried to give her the wedding she dreamed of.

Oh my God, I fucking loved Emily and Victor together. It reminded me of Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. To be perfectly honest, I liked them together better than Victor and Victoria. God, if only it had turned out that way. Because I think Victor and Emily could have worked if Victor had just died for Emily, instead of staying alive and marrying Victoria. Besides, his and Victoria's wedding was arranged, and Emily seemed to care more about Victor than Victoria did. She had more emotion towards Victor than Victoria had. Victoria seemed stiff and blank, while Emily was fluid and expressive. Get what I'm saying here?
