I moved to CC 20yrs ago, reluctantly. Now, I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. I truly enjoy listening to the old timers of CC talk about the history of this area and I love these videos.

remember Flippos Sea food in down town long lines at lunch and ship ahoy on the bay very romantic. Miss all the pretty girls from ray hs class of 69 .

Always a pleasure Joe! Life long Corpus Christi residence here! Mom used to work at the old Kress depratment store downtown for many years back in the day! They used to have a cool little diner in the store too! damn good food! no joke! You could also get the best candy and 45 records at Kress back then. Now its part of a bar. Mulligan's, i think. I still remember the smell of the place and the creak of that wooden floor! how about you?

I remember the Sears and JCPenney stores also Woolworths Five and Dime Store with their big Donuts in the early 70s
