I had the privilege to see them in Paris and Marseille. I'm now looking for a way to attend in Liepzig. If I had been told that I would have this chance a few years back I wouldn't have believed it. Great band, great sound, great audience.

And today they are releasing a CD featuring a concert from the same tour, a show recorded last year in Mexico City. In my opinion, they are the ONLY (relatively) late gothic band on the same level of the most emblematic bands of the first generation (Bauhaus, SOM, SATB, Xmal Deutschland, Christian Death, Skeletal Family, etc.). The Wake has a fantastic debut album, it's true, but it doesn't have a discography on the same level as Corpus Delicti, which really puts the French band on a whole different league. That said... 'Roma' forever, we all miss you.

Souvenir du concert où je les ai vus fin des années 90, dans une salle parisienne qui n'existe plus, avec l'ex qui m'a fait comprendre que tel M. Jourdain faisant de la prose sans le savoir, j'écoutais du gothique (fans des Fields) sans savoir que c'était un mouvement…
