275 views correcting a video that got 50k views. The VAST majority of rockhounds in this country showed their true colors when they accused me of being passive aggressive and rallied around the fraud that posted the video I corrected.

This is all true, and it doesnt take a genius to figure it out like you said. just a few minutes of research is all it takes. I cant stand the fake rockhounding channels that get 4 million views, and they go out and bury plastic gems in the clay and act like they found rubies or something, it really is beyond mockery at this point. I cant even believe fake rockhounding is a thing, but it is somehow. I would much rather watch your channel for the sake of keeping it real and teaching me some things about REAL rockhounding.

oh, and that was a gorgeous piece of red orbicular cryptocrystalline quartz, aka jasper.

It's just a thing..... Kind of messed up formatting your videos to be found, clicking on subject tabs and finding 10 year old videos with 30-300 views or worse, searching for a video on a particular river, and getting everything but even if it's in the title. Then on top of all that, to see bad information being given out, from a known bad information source, and it's getting fawned over by people because it got promoted as a trusted source.

@@DavidBriggsAdventures That does suck for you, David, I always say " Trust but verify". If sheeple only did a bit of (and I mean a couple minutes worth of) research in any relevant rock and mineral publication discussing types of Sio2, they'd known for themselves! But you do great work, I will recommend you to my rock groups when I go to FB, which isn't very often but I will make a special trip since you only deal in Truth! Cheers!

Thanks for setting the record straight. I love your videos. I'm down in Northern CA. but very familiar with the NW coastal Oregon area, Rogue river etc., so it also is great to see these familiar places of Beauty. Ill like every video you make to help in a small way, keep telling the truth and hopefully we can all pitch in to make your videos more viewed , especially cuz they're factual.. Thank you, Dave.

SORRY , I'm watching again! Fuckin funny as shit! So sorry if that's not ok. But what a jewel of a video!!!!!

It's one of those things... You're making the effort to be the good guy and some poser hack starts going all left corner of stupid with the facts because they have a depth of intellect that makes a teaspoon look like the Marianas trench. I'm here schepping away at it like a mench. There's only so many hacks you can hear. I spent my Saturday's in the diamond district like a sponge. I do POV videos to prove that people from any background can get out to explore nature in a way that is comfortable for them. I know that approach leads to a greater understanding of our public spaces and real world needs in each of those spaces. Hacks and clique behavior have a profoundly negative impact on the creative potential pent up in the last 2 generations. American gem art is long overdue for a revival. ;)

what sugar agat is ? as in description.
@DavidBriggsAdventures Жыл бұрын
It's best described like sugar candy making. Agate forms like poured hard candy. A sugar Agate is kind of like a batch that sugars off. A grainy consistency of chalcedony that may or may not be opaque but has all the hardness properties of Agate.

Micro meaning microscopic!!

Wrong answer dipshit. Micro meaning barely visible. Try reading a book for a change rather than leveling your salvation army couch with it.

i have to ask.. who are you passively aggressively calling out about posing in front of equipment for their youtube videos?
@DavidBriggsAdventures3 жыл бұрын
You clearly missed the point. This is about calling out a preening fraud who gave out bad information while posing for effect to create a false sense of authority. There is nothing passive at all about my aggressive take down of liars and frauds. Any time you can't handle that level of truth, feel free to go fuck yourself. ;)
