I suffered badly with Rosacea since I'm Irish and very fair. I tried many products, some worked but over time my Rosacea got worse. Last year I went ahead and had IPL Laser Treatment done at a dermatologist office. It was money well spent and it had significant impact on my Rosacea. One of the theories is that we all have skin mites, its part of the natural cycle of life, they are microscopic. People with Rosacea are just more sensitive to these microscopic mites. I was told by a leading dermatologist to consider washing my bed sheets/pillow cases more frequently and use mild detergent. I've been doing this and it has been impactful too. Obviously, I was told the skin barrier is the issue with many of these skin conditions and to make sure to use good rich moisturizers, use sunscreen and if out in harsh windy cold weather to cover my face as best as I can with a scarf.

I suffer from rosacea, too! I hadn't thought about the mites, but that reminds me of hypochlorous acid -- I bought my Mom theratears sterilid months before she passed to try to help with her eyes and eczema. She never used it, but you might look into something like that if you have flare ups. I'm going to as well!!

I’ve struggled with redness caused by rosacea for a long time, and I totally agree with you that the Dr Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass cream is a life changer!! It is for sure a part of my daily morning routine and is usually enough coverage for me with a light dusting of mineral powder foundation. I picked up a couple of the Watercolors blushes on your recommendation and absolutely love them. I think I need to try the “blonzer” too. Thanks so much for this video, Shelbey! 😊

I've been trying to wear less makeup (basically just eyes and brows) since I'm in a mask all day at work and it just breaks up, but I have a similar redness in the T area that my fussy self can't stop "correcting" with makeup that then I have to correct in the bathroom before I take off my mask during breaks/end of shift/etc. I've never seen the TGCC mixed with a tinted SPF before and mind blown emoji. Cannot wait to try this, thank you!

I feel your frustration! I have rosacea, triggered by many things including masks. I found and love NIOD's Modulating Glucosides -- it hasn't stopped my flare ups, but it's very comforting and I can tell what color my skin is for the first time in years! Good luck!

I've had perioral dermatitis since xmas. My goodness is it painful and unpleasant! I work on an ICU full-time and the mask creates an awful environment for my skin on top of this issue. I picked up a small jar from Sephora. i mix it with some Australian Gold spf and wow, it does a great job! in addition, i went to my derm who put me on 2 weeks of antibiotics and metronidazole. This almost completely eliminated the problem. We'll see if it returns. I'm in complete agreement: this is the most natural thing i have found, too. Thank you!

This looks so pretty!! I love a “BLonzer”!! I know Hourglass has taken some heat and is out of favor with some people but they have a blush color called Mood Exposure. It’s such a perfect Blonzer for me. It’s a little cooler-mauve which works for my complexion which is paler and cooler toned. You need to order your Daniel Sandler!! 💗

I have lupus and sympathise with the painful redness 🙏 I completely changed my skincare routine to a local Australian brand called QV. Similar to cerave. Shelbey -- you have the best community! This is such a great video, and I love reading and learning from the comments. I replied to a few, but I thought I'd write separately to suggest two things: 1. Modulating Glucosides from NIOD - this helps my rosacea more than azelaic acid does. I love it so much that I just bought 3 backups. I can actually tell what my skin tone is versus trying to guess through redness. 2. I completely forgot about and haven't tried yet products including hypochlorous acid. One of the challenges with these skin cycles is inflammation -- rosacea flares give me pores I didn't know I had! This is to help with mites (thank you, the Irish commenter below, for triggering this memory!), redness, and inflammation. I'm going to try it and encourage you, Shelbey, and eczema and rosacea folks below to look into these things. The MG is great for me, because I'm Sahara dry, and it's profoundly soothing.

Hi Shelby. Just a product suggestion for you, I got the Origins mushroom soothing lotion as part of a set and I honestly didn’t know what to do with it as it’s consistency is like water, however now I wouldn’t be without it as I’ve noticed a vast reduction in my redness since using it. I just shake the bottle as recommended, and pour a few drops onto my hand, then tap onto my face. I do this right before I apply any serums/moisturisers. Definitely give it a try! 😊💫

I was using this last year when I had a bad flare up but im not sure I saw results. I remember just eliminating everything down to a simple cleanser and moisturizer and that’s what cured my PD - but I’ve read it’s common to see better results with fewer products if you have PD. I’d say if I just had general redness or rosacea the azaleic acid would have helped more!

Wow. My rosacea really benefitted overall from just make up which really was sun protection. I don't think any of these skin care options would have been much help in my case as I had extremely oily skin. Now that I am older less so and I can at least apply moisturizer. The redness is less, but papules are more of a factor. I have stayed away from green color correction because it does make me look ghastly gray. I returned a Missha cc cream in a medium shade for this reason. GRAY. Thanks for the tips, all the same!

I hope all of these people who have rosacea who are posting will try that prescription METROGEL (don't know that generic name) for Rosacea, along with their makeup And skin care. I used it after bathing my face every night for a few months, maybe 10 or 11 months, when I was in my 30s, and it just went away., FOREVER!! Also had a laser treatment to get rid of the broken capillaries which resulted from so much flushing. Whatever y'all can do to keep your skin from flushing that will help a lot to cut down on the redness h rosacea, should it be a change in blood pressure , exposure to cold air, drinking alcohol, or reacting emotionally to an upsetting situation and I know that can't be helped but good luck to everyone who has it . I know it is not fun to have to deal with that.

Petrolatum (pure Vaseline) has been my savior for my perioral dermatitis & rosacea. Hyper moisturizing has made a huge difference. CeraVe cream for dry skin is also amazing! Everything fragrance free Oh, and super gentle cleansing. NOTHING foaming or abrasive. Anything that makes my skin feel tight will instantly cause my skin to flare. Right now I use ponds cold cream for normal to dry skin for a first cleanse if I have mineral sunscreen or makeup on, and my holy Grail cleanser right now is Neutrogena Hydro boost moisturizing cleansing lotion. NOT the gel. Working on healing my skin as work much better for me than trying to cover it.

I generally use the cerave healing ointment (petrolatum) but my dermatologist told me it was the one product you should avoid with PD!? I can’t remember why she didn’t recommend using it but I was also used a steroid petrolatum at the time so she could have just been referring to that particular one. But I’ve been avoiding using it on top of my red areas.

Looks like you have barely any makeup on, and actually you don't!! I love that clear- faced young look and pretty hair which hangs down making you look even younger. You can probably rock the young look for another 20 years!! 🌝💕
