Im working at a dog day care center where they have 2 staffordshire bullterriers and have fallen in love with the breed. I will most likely end up buying one after I've moved out. Their combination of looking tough on the outside and being clowny on the inside makes this a very charmy breed. Which the two I care for never let me forget! ❤️😂

Hahaha, Henrietta, Gloria, now Penny is doing just fine, but you better quickly make Diasy your all-time favorite it helps motivate me because right now as I'm texting and Willow and Asher are asleep on the hotel bed she is zipping back and forth like speedy Gonzales even though I've been up since 4:45 to get them to a walk at the off leash area. Of course I brought an entire giant shopping bag of toys and what is she doing destroying the popcorn box or trying her best to try to find my shoes again. 🤪🤪🤪

+freetospeak7 Hi-Thanks for asking this question as many people just assume the two breeds are the same, or on the opposite end of the spectrum, get extremely agitated when the Staffordshire Bull Terrier (English origin) and the breed in this video is considered the same as either the American Staffordshire Terrier or American Pit Bull Terrier (both of American origin, but the Pit Bull Terrier is not recognized by the american Kennel Club). The Pit Bull terrier is arguably the most popular dog in America in terms of numbers, but many extremely, in fact I would argue most, people breeding them, as highly irresponsible and that is why they are over-run in the shelters and can have unpredictable behavior. This is different form the American Staffordshire Terrier (taller dog, cropped ears) that is more commonly a show dog. However, having said all of that, the original lineage of all these breeds is very closely related and there is not clear agreement on what got crossed with the Staffordshire Bull Terrier English) to produce the larger and different two breeds. It is interesting and complicated research. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier, while the origins go back to bull-baiting, was also breed not only, for a brief time in history, to fight other dogs, it was also breed, primarily by working class men, as a ratter, farm dog, and family pet (The "all purpose dog"). Prices vary of pure SBT's and you should check with individual breeders. You can also check into The Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of America as, occasionally, wonderful rescue dogs are available.

luke trevena I think the problem is the wannabe hard-knock's that they are sadly now associated with so often (in the UK at least). We've had 3 and never had a problem with any of their temperaments. Most are big ole softies. My current dog, Sasha, is very well behaved. Apart from letting off the occasional Staffy stink bomb lol

This is a really good looking nest!. I love the difference in personality!. My Staffy is almost 14 and still loves to play every other evening. This breed has the perfect character traits i love it. Really good with people, children, other animals, but for some reason my dog never had interest in other dogs and she would get tense

Thank you for the excellent video. Just watched it with my little staffy Charlie on my smart tv. Your puppies are just stunning, a little puppy fat gives them a boast when their growing up. We play loads, he has at least an hour walk everyday which includes socializing, then we chill out and watch some tv and after all that, we go sleep. He sleeps very well, especially on the weekend, anything from 8-10 hours. I have met loads of staffies, they are the perfect all round dogs that seem to be good at everything. The best setting for them is an active family with babies or children to play with and look after as they are nanny dogs who will even manage to out play any child ;)

Its so extremely adorable that you can see their personality types. :) We had a german sheaperd with the most adorable personality you could imagine! He always wanted to be by your side. We had to send away due to him not being able to adapt to being in an appartment (5th floor, no elevator, had to run down with him in my arms every time it) and our cats keept bullying him. he was the sweetest little thing though..

Yes, that is typically about right! in California it's actually a law but I got my first Stafford and about 7 weeks in a different state, and it was a great move because apparently the old-time breeders will tell you that they bond with humans so well that they're perfectly ready to leave by that time but eight to nine weeks should also be perfect.

Hi! I really don't know because we don't usually buy permanent collars till they're bigger I just usually put them on little loop leads. But you can always just measure their neck ultimately they'll usually end up when they're full grown in a collar about 16 to 18 in

It's hard to say Emily. The top weight of the breed (male or female) in the AKC standard says 38 pounds, but, the reality is there hasn't been a male in the top 10 in a decade who is less than 42, but generally many closer to 45-48. Interestingly, the hallmark of this particular litter is they are ALL, with the exception of the once smallest pup in the litter (the little red) among the smallest dogs in the SBT ring currently-weighing about 33-35 pounds. Our smallest, last born, ended up being the biggest pup of the litter, around 39 pounds-and female? The sire tends to produce smaller puppies. Also, I have a tendency to have much heavier puppies than some because I really nourish the mom and then enrich puppy food with tripe. This is not something I am bragging about as, honestly, I think probably as with human babies, leaner is better and I may have to lighten up in the future. I've had more than one person mistake puppies in Shaq's firs litter for "Sharpeis" when they were about 3-4 months old-LOL.

why would you name them? if you finding them new homes. i know you grow fond of them, but it is confusing for them, and harder transition when they get a new family. Ive always had better connection with pups that weren't named by the breeder vs ones who named them and then i changed names.
