Julien was my supervisor on Aquaman in 2018 after I joined RodeoFX as a compositor. He's a great supervisor with a keen eye for detail, and how he treated and respected my fellow artists and me is not so common in our industry. He has a real talent, and I'm happy to see him on the show.

The *last agni kai fight from ATLA* would be perfect for for the Animators React. It's so stunning! For the VFX series you gotta react to *Aslan from the Chronicles of Narnia!* Also at the end of second one there's a big water creature, so it might be cool to see what you think about that. Maybe also, Max Schneider's Gibberish music video, the editing kinda breaks my brain there. And for stuntmen react It would be cool to see you react to the duel from "Potop", it's really good sword fight (tho technically it's sabers i think)

You guys might want to consider subtitling guests with a strong accent. I'm sure the English is good enough for the native ear and I don't want to be offensive in any way, but for non-native speakers it's really hard to understand with the accent on top. I think your international audience is large enough to justify that. Unfortunately the auto generated CCs seem to have the same problem, it's very inaccurate and barely usable. So maybe add proper optional CCs for those few videos?

Yikes, I hadn't tried watching these with CC on before 😬 That's so slack for a 6M sub channel, esp. one that frequently has visitors with strong accents? (aren't super-well picked up by AI transcript) The auto-gen CC format isn't great either, having so much subtitle onscreen at one time makes it hard to both read and look at the main image, which is a major problem for an image-focused channel. Corridor Crew team, please, please consider investing in this? Your channel's so cool, would be great to see it more fully accessible...

Very interesting to compare with 'The Mandalorian' and maybe even 'Dune' that seems to follow a similar philosophy (also just interesting as showrunner Gilroy has said he didn't object to the Volume, he doesn't see one way as better or worse, his crew were just more experienced with one way of doing it that is set work and then post production VFX where as the Volume requires the VFX workload upfront).

@@thingswelike From what I can tell, the 3D model was treated kind of like concept art - and the actual suit was sculpted from clay. The prosthetics guy explained that it was important to tailor the details of the design to allow for the specific kinds of movements needed with full body suits (which 3D artists wouldn't think about when designing). Things like where the panels need to overlap to allow for good movement, how they'll be adhered to the skin to avoid creasing (and what parts of the body that won't work on), which parts are able to be hard resin and which need to be soft foam, how weight is distributed for the actor, and the way elements are positioned on the face to allow for the actor's performance to come through. It's important for the prosthetics guys to be able to separate out the elements of the design and refine / reposition / re-sculpt them in order to do a lot of that.

I like the use of 3D printing costumes for TV. I've seen it in cosplay before but never thought it could be done on this scale. I also like how compositing was used to save time and money for a shot that could've cost some quality if rendered. Lastly, I appreciate the research that went into Wandavision. Buying CRT screens and warping them with magnets to get distortion effects was great. I like how it aligns with the idea that an external force is disrupting a field and causing a distortion.

Please react to agents of shield. So many of the effects are really cool, especially for a TV show, and the stunts are really good as well. The specific effects I’d say you should look at are Ghost rider, terragenisis, the Zephyr plane, and some of the various inhuman powers

Do you think there's a day on the horizon where some of the corridor digital crew do an international tour? It would be great to see you guys maybe go visit some of these studios you've become close with over the years and maybe even at each stop you can find another channel to do a once off collaboration with. It would be amazing if oneday you visited New Zealand to visit Wetta Digital and then maybe do a collaboration with "Viva La Dirt League" who I know would love a chance to work with you guys

One of the coolest things I've seen recently were the set pieces of "Sandman" which were a beautiful mix of practical and CG, I'd love to see more about the art of blending those two together to create a scene.

Huge thanks to @corridorcrew for opening my eyes to see and appreciate all these details which I would have otherwise missed. I have a new found appreciation for all VFX artists cos without your magic, we would not get to see these masterpieces. God bless you all 🙏

I just saw Everything Everywhere All at Once and my first thought was "how haven't Corridor reacted to this". The vfx were awesome and actually made by a five person team with no formal training!

Have you guys ever reacted to the Ally McBeal dancing baby? Early CG that went sort of viral (there were even physical toys made!)

Good old Baby Cha Cha. That actually started out as an animators in-joke (it was originally a demonstration for Character Studio, hugely celebrated piece of software back in the day).

You want a comment telling you what you should react to on this show? How about all the stuff in the extended cut that you didn't include in this episode. Honestly it's a very disingenuous to constantly be complaining about how you can't find enough VFX scenes to react to to make this show, and yet you have plenty more to make extended cuts that you want extra money for.

Please react to the VFX in Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities. The monster in the first episode looks great, as well as the bird sims in the final episode, very unique.

Yo, SuckerPunch is on KZbin movies. There's a shot where the girls are in front of show girl mirrors and the camera pans around them and views them from the other side of the mirror. I think you should react to this shot. My spidey sense says that it's all practical, and there's no mirror there at all, and it's done with glass and doubles.

My first segment request! Long time listener, first time caller. I might join the Patreon because I think it would be that good of an episode. A breakdown/retrospective on the effects from the Nightmare on Elm Street film series. They have some pretty iconic moments that would be great to go over! Keep up the great work y’all!

I love the design for the hex in wandavision, because it reminds me of how a TV screen shows up through being filmed. Hopefully that explanation makes sense but I'm sure everyone knows what I'm talking about.
