Yes he does. It's down to how Gail raised her number one Son and favorite child. I still say Adam Rickett was a better Nick Tilsley than Conrad from footballers wives and Adam had finished filming Shortland street in New Zealand when he was asked to return to Coronation Street in January 2011 but he turned it down to stay in NZ and visit Australia. I don't Blame him though but still, I would love to see him reprise the role of The eldest son. Adam Rickett was amazing in Shortland street.

This storyline and its writing made me just beyond angry. DAVID was the victim in this entire situation, Gail allowed Kylie and Nick to manipulate her and ostracise David out of the family. And those two constantly feeling sorry for themselves and complaining about how hard their lives were was disgusting. Because Kylie wasn’t complaining when she was off getting drunk and David was looking after HER kids, was she? And let’s not forget it was only a couple of years later when Kylie got hooked on drugs and abandoned her family.

Exactly though. Yes he tried to kill Nick but come on, Nick slept with Kylie ffs!!! How did they expect David to react, throw a party?! They cannot expect him to not be emotionally scarred. The way he dealt with it… he needed psychological help more than anything. Anyone who deals with something like that by trying to kill needs therapy and police who are equipped to deal with criminals that have mental health issues, not kicking out. Plus straight after finding out about Nick’s dirty secret he attempted su1cide. “Your brother is a broken man”… and you don’t think your other son is also just as broken inside, Gail? Come on, yes Nick had a brain injury, but that does not mean you have to roll out the red carpet for him and treat him like the golden child. This whole storyline Nick got all the support, where was the psychological support for David when he needed it just as much? David literally got no help or support from his family… he was completely on his own. Yes Nick had a brain injury which meant he needed support and everyone had to do everything for him, but where was the support and mental help for David when it was vital?! When more than one of your children are damaged, mentally or physically, they need equal support. You do not just revolve everything around one and disown the other. Gail didn’t even try to help David most of the time, just chucked him out. Dk how he is supposed to learn without the right support. He recieved none of that help, everyone completely gave Nick the golden child treatment. Did he recieve any hassle off others for betraying his brother? No!!! Everyone rolled out the red carpet for him and ran around after him and David recieved no mental help, even from his own family, when it was breaking point for him. Despite what he’d done, I feel for him. He needed emotional and psychological support just as much as Nick needed and got that support, but David did not get any. I feel for him.
