Richard Hillman was not better, he felt guilty about his deeds and more importantly he was not good at killing people or at least the people he was aimed at, e.g Audrey and Emily. Pat, on the other hand, was really good at killing and he didn’t feel at all guilty about his crimes like one bit he only confessed when Eileen found out about them.
