The bass sounds most excellent on this clip. I remember seeing it at the time, I was 14 and it sent me in a very stoner rock direction.

Looks like Pepper was having a good time, here. The Word was a great music TV show and I love how they put the crowd right on top of the band, and those camera cuts may have gotten overdone as time went on, but just add so much energy to the presentation.

It's a clip from the nineties. Back then, people gave less fucks about tribalism than today. Unless they were 15 years old boys or stuck in that mental space. 15yr/m were the worst "tribe", and even that was more of a loose association. Society has devolved since then. Also, it was from a mainstream TV show, so not strictly a metal crowd. Less gatekeeping in a good way.
