Corrosive ammo Clean up. Water or solvents?

(Scenario) : You have just shot corrosive ammo through your prized firearm. Should you drown it in Windex, then take it in the shower with you? Or assault it with a myriad of harsh solvents and risk permanent neurological damage. This is not a "Age old Battle" but rather a contagious behavior brought on by the Advent of "THE INTERNET"
