Also recommend sanding the edges of the carbon due to its sharp edges. Very impressive chassis. Flip the rear bumper. If you swap the front body post to the rear and the rear to the front the body fits the wholes. Love the DSM off-road front battery mount too 🤙🏾

I put the ccw chassies on my vrd carbon and I finally got my hands on a stubby kit so my vrd is finally built but now I have to wait for the sun to come out so I can paint the body and drive it currently have snow in nor cal

Only issue is the body post mounts and recommend running the shorty motor mount assembly from Vanquish to reduce issues with rocks dragging or snagging on the motor skid due to the new angle change from the corrupt carbon works chassis

Strange you didn’t weigh ether of the chassis rails to give an insight on the weight savings you mentioned early on in the video.I think I understand what forged carbon is . If my research is correct it’s not necessarily stronger than conventional carbon weave but does use up all the scraps/ waste material. Also what is that copper colour made from in the mix ? Is that copper additive a weight savings or not ? What is the weight of the Vanquish carbon rails ? I know you have mentioned in other videos that rails don’t weigh much compared to the total weight of the truck but it would be nice to get this kind of information from your channel , thanks for your time in making the video.

Our rails are only forged on the outside for the beauty layer. The inside is still a T700 weave.

I suspect that there won't be much weight difference, as it's probably more about the looks than anything else, but hey, that's ok too. Whatever dangles your angle! 😂

True but I imagine if you build for competition every ounce counts too , joe usually does weigh the differences but it’s probably more editing and not a big deal it’s to have CF period 🎉

@@TheTyronecus To my knowledge the RP chassis does not add anymore angle into the skid like we have done. Also they moved the skid forward a little. Which in return you need shorter front links to gain the performance. That takes it out of a direct swap chassis. Their shock hoops are shorter which also raises the truck. Not sure why they did that. Yes they added more choices but the lower level of holes is pretty much useless with the hoops being lower. Just what I am seeing by looking at the chassis.
