Neon Peon The interaction between the Boot and the heart’s 200 damage per turn counter is that Pummel’s 1x5 counts as 5 total damage but because of boots, it does total 5x5 damage instead. Taking Vajra would incrase pummel’s damage, causing, let’s say, 2x5 damage instead which would shave off 10 damage on the 200 limit instead of 5 and still does the same total damage. Weak face is taken so pummel does less damage to the damage limit. tldr - the interaction between Boot and the heart damage counter makes it more favorable to make pummel weaker

@@mytiliss682 Chances are no, considering that Wrist Blade is effectively just a "+4 Strength" Buff to cards that cost zero. So if that worked, then so would basically any damage buff in the game. The boot is simply unique in that it sets the damage after the fact, unlike pretty much any other source of damage in the game.

tldr: the atk deal 5 dmg(he got weak turn 1 because of the mask) but change to 25 by the boots effect. the heart count the dmg pre-boots that why this work. so he have defense and energy everytimes his deck shuffle. this combo complete with 4 relics.

If you mean me being weakened, then that is necessary to deal 1 damage per hit with Pummel. If I did two damage with Pummel, I would take 10 off of Invincible per Pummel, which would not be enough to kill the Heart. The actual weak effect on the Heart comes from Red Mask though, which is irrelevant.

I still don't get how this works - every 3 times you shuffle your draw pile, Sundial gives you 2 energy. But Pommel Strike costs 1 energy to draw a card (which shuffles your draw pike), so it costs 3 energy and refunds you with 2... how are you gaining energy?

Thinking ahead - draws 2 cards and puts one on your draw pile.

When you play a Pommel Strike with 0 cards in your draw pile and 0-1 in your discard, your draw pile gets shuffled twice. It's a weird quirk of the game. So every 3 Pommel Strikes give 4 energy and use 3, for a net gain of energy.

Pummel does 5x1 due to bad face weak. and registers as that in the 200 damage limit. Boot rounds that up to 5x5 damage which enables a x5 damage per turn (x4 being needed in 800 HP). With Vajra he'd be at 5x2 damage registered und 5x5 damage dealt, aka only a 2.5 factor, not sufficient to OTK.

Arbiter analyzed this seed (and knew the Boot was there) before attempting the run on this seed. That's why you may see decisions that may appear strange but make a desired victory possible.

Pummel does 2 damage 5 times. With the weak debuff from the Gremlin Visage, it becomes 1 damage 5 times. The Boot relic increases the 1 damage to 5, but the invincibility buff uses the original damage rather than the increased Boot damage when lowering its counter. Therefore, with a 200 damage cap on the buff, the Boot can actually deal 1000 total damage. This glitch has since been patched.

Well, this video is essentially a glitch exhibition, so there isn't any way around it. However, except for the first version of "Who Needs Cards," where you could argue I was being lazy, I generally don't abuse glitches if I don't need to.
