I used to jiggle the cartridge to get strange effects on purpose and bring new effects and challenges to an old game. I still have the old Nintendo in the attic with all my games. Maybe it is time to bring it out and jiggle the cartridge for strange effects on old games. My brother and I called it, "deformness."

Iteration 5 had an odd, chilling feeling to it. Music skipping, lots of stuff is missing, Mario acts weird, the map goes on forever while every so often something flashes by like a subliminal jump scare... Might make for the genesis of a good creepypasta.

Just to let you guys know, you can do this with Game Genie. The codes you enter aren't just "password"-type codes, they actually correspond to real values in the games HEX Editor. What this means is that if you enter in a random string of letters, it'll most likely alter the game somehow. Me and my friend just did this all one day, and often resulted in hilarious stuff not unlike this video. Unfortunately Game Genie crapped out as of late.
