Are you guys having some semblance of pride that the quantum of corruption in Malaysia is much higher than in Singapore? Maybe it's dark humour, maybe it's patriotism, but there has to come a time where you guys start to say no to corruption once and for all. About the Singlish and Manglish comparison. Singlish was admitted to Oxford English Dictionary back in 2000. Manglish was included in 2016. It's not something that Singapore was pursuing back then. It just happen so that Singapore is considered the most proficient in English in Asia. As Singlish is usually structured with mostly English along with some Bahasa Melayu or Hokkien words thrown into it. Whereas Manglish used to be mostly Bahasa Melayu with some English thrown into it. If you're an English expats, you would find Singlish as kinda weird English. While Manglish would not even sound English to you since it's predominantly in Bahasa Melayu. Besides, Manglish isn't even the common tongue of Malaysia.
