3:59 It's because Corsair used the same LL120 fan set that's also sold separate , which includes 3 LL120 fans and the Lighting Node Pro . I have this case and I'm glad the 4th LL120 wasn't included , this case is expensive enough as it is and if there was a non rgb version for 100 Euro's less ( which is what a LL120 set + controller costs) , that would definitely be my choice . Besides the price , this is a great case

Why would you get this case without the fans? Go Lian Li 011 Dynamic if you want that lmao. This is designed around the LL120 fans, to mimic the 280x they sell, just an ATX instead of mATX.

Dig these dual-chamber cases, ever since the cooltek w2. Lookie there! the rear fan and rear mobo i/o are slightly off-set, so the fan blocks the view on the mobo a bit less. Dunno who designed it (first appeared Anidees Crystal XL afaik) but it's a nice detail and I'm glad corsair does it too. Also thank jiminy for the standoffs for better airflow, those cheap things could save so many cases from choking on their own glass front panels. Nice review!

Thank you for the nice review! Please add the 3 Fans, hopefully 2 as intake in the bottom, and show the temperature difference. I would be really interested in this. Also would it be possible to mount 3 140mm fans in the front instead of the 3 120mm fans? And would it also be possible to install a 120mm or 140mm fan in the side of the PSU? Thank you!

I dont think 420mm would work, but 280mm and 360mm are fine. Up top can fit 2x120mm/2x140mm, the back/rear can fit 1x120mm/1x140mm, and 2 can fit in the bottom, 2x120mm/2x140mm. I have mine set up as 3 front intake, top 240mm AIO with fans set to exhaust, 1 rear exhaust, and 2 bottom-mounted intakes, and my GPU definitely gets more fresh air because of it, but unless you're going with x8 QL120 fans, I would suggest avoiding buying 2 for the bottom, if you're doing it for the RGB anyway, because once it's set to intake on the bottom you cant nearly admire the lighting the same.

I couldn’t find any answers on the internet. I am going to purchase a msi rtx 2080 ti gaming x trio graphics card and I’m going to purchase a corsair crystal 680x rgb and I want to know if the gpu will fit inside of the case because it looks like there’s a really small space for the gpu inside the case and it looks like it might cause the rtx to sag.

I'm a big fan of Corsair cases and my current system is in a 280X, my disappointment with the case is I really feel they could have done more for cable management in the second compartment. Comparing this with the Fractal Design Define R6 where the back end has a number of slots, channels, and built-in standoffs, the back end here looks like an open warehouse. I can work around that and it won't stop me from buying the case. But it feels like a miss Corsair shouldn't be making. Also cheap to throw in a bland fan, 1 more RGB fan really isn't asking a lot.

The problem with things like channels etc is that sometimes it doesn't work with special cable kits, or it isn't made for a bunch of small cables going all over the place (think about RGB fans and strips). Personally I like this approach with just a bunch of empty space. Also, the 280X is nice too ;)

Wait, i thought the Asus prime z390-A Mainboard doesnt have an adressable 3-pin header for the fans, so the RGB of the fans isnt programmable right?

Corsair hardware is controlled using their own controller and the software.

From the front of that case you can't tell that you used White LL120 Fans, And the LL120's don't show anything from the rear its all front lighting so I cant see the point in using LL fans when they got to be facing outwards, I think HD120's would be better to show off lighting and the white interior of that nice case. And I think there should be a variant that has no fans at all, because most of us RGB nuts already have all the LL120, LL140s or corsair HD line up already so we wouldn't need all them extra fans if we have them already. And that would bring the price down somewhat and make it more affordable for everyone.

may i ask if you install 2pcs of the fan hub which controls the rgb for all the fans, as i count, the case can fit up to 8 fans and the commander pro can hold only 6 pcs of it.

If you purchase the same 3x ll120 rgb fan pack, you get an extra 6 fan hub and the node pro with it. So you can connect the extra fans you need to the second hub and connect it to the second channel of the node on the case. Second option is like in this build. The 2 fans of the cpu cooler are connected via USB along with the pump, which leaves 6 fans exactly for the fan hub included :)

Yea if you want to be able to modify fan speed and rgb settings in icue. The node it comes with is just power hub for the rgb the you need the commander pro to supply power to.

As you can see at 4:23 there is an rgb hub for the fans that goes into the node. But that only controls the RGB effects of the fans. The fan speed will have to be controlled via the motherboard. I do think that they should've added a fan controller considering the price of this case and that it already comes with 4 fans.

The 280x was sold in a non RGB version. Maybe it'll come later, or maybe the 280 non RGB didn't do so well so they skipped a non RGB 680x?

From other reviewers I heard that Corsair said that they only sell 1 non rgb case for every 10 rgb cases and they had no plans to sell a non rgb version. Me I’d rather personally see white grommets, screws cables, tempered glass border, and mesh covers on white cases to tie it all together.

The included hub can fit 6 Corsair RGB fans. The controller does have a free channel to fit another hub, so technically you can expand up to 12 fans. If you buy a LL120 3-pack for example, that will come with an extra hub :) Let me know if that was clear enough.

@@TechTesters I was considering getting the case and replacing all the fans with noctua 3000 rpm variants, as I need a good airflow case instead of my current Evolv Evo X which isn't really suitable for my 2080 Ti's, the Lian Li 011 Dynamic also isn't suitable as it does not have front fans nor support for 280mm radiators. I liked the video however and was wondering if there was some sort of Discord chat you had?

There is not a single good case out there. All of them prefer aesthetics over functionality. Corsair was so close to make a perfect case but they screwed it up by not making the legs high enough choking the gpu of fresh air. They also put a glass right in front of the case choking fans over ther also. Come on put like a 3 inch gap so it can suck in air efficiently. And why would you put glass over the exhausts fans. You want the pc to push the hot air out. Not keep it in. Seriously if I had the tools, money and recourses corsair and other manufacturers did, I could build a perfect 10/10 case that everybody would love because of its performance but also look good. I would also take every single tiny detail into account to give you the best performance. Also if you guys were wondering wy not get the lian li if I have a problem with this case. That case is even worse. Have you seen the fan intake slots. Instead of a mesh design with big intake holes, it has these tiny slits for intake that choke fan intake even worse than this corsair. In fact, if you dont care about looks and only performance, you can remove all the glass panels,, and this would be a really good case

Overpriced. For me personally, if this was available with 2 decent non-rgb fans or none at all, and was 80-100 cheaper, I would have purchased. Typical problem nowadays, way too much cost thrown at colored lights. I would buy some decent Noctua or Be Quiet black fans.

@@TechTesters Because they make expensive things that aren't as good as others (at least for the price). Also, "high airflow case" is like Apple's "Sapphire crystal lens". It is sapphire but it's really bad quality, and it scratches as easily as glass. Just a marketing strategy.

You really don't need a fan controller if you have pwn 4 pin fan headers on your motherboard. Asus has a lot of 4 pin pwn fan headers on their motherboards and they can be controlled in the AI suit. The AI Suit is great because you can set profiles by heat on every fan in the case. Like if your CPU is doing heavy work and starts to generate more heat AI suit will bring up the fan speed to keep the CPU running cool. You can also access your Bios settings while on Windows in The AI Suit software and overclock and set overclocking profiles.

Personal taste is exactly that - personal. And temps show that even a high powered system will be just fine, which is important if you want this case - far from shit, actually. At the end of the day, it really doesnt matter if some other case is 2 degrees cooler or not. If this is the case you want it simply needs to do well on its own, and handle the hardware you expect to put in it well, which it does. Price is a point, but again it is with most premium hardware and you do get a bit more than just a case. Luckily, there are so many other options to choose from if this is not for you :)
