Corsair TC500 LUXE Gaming Chair Review: Comfortable Seat For Long Sessions

During the filming of this video I became super sick with what I now suspect to be mold toxicity which has completely disrupted my life. It's going to be weeks before we get moved into a new place and I'll hopefully recover by then but because of this setback it'll be some time before I can work again on my channel as I'm sick and staying with family. Bro. Tell me you are from CA or Florida or nearby states. Maybe texas XD without telling me. On the beach in Cali it is Florida 2.0. Used to live in Miami Beach also. Now I get why you were talking about humidity. Eventhough it was about a hot shower. I get ya 😅. Trying to give a heads up to everyone regardless shower or extreme humidity. I repainted my apt with frigging boat hull paint to be able to combat mold 😂. It worked. Unless you rent. Used mold removing primer too. Wish you well!

the outward 180 degree rotation is meant to allow the armrests to still be in range of providing support when the chair is reclined. im not sure if it reaches back far enough since it wasn't demonstrated in the video, but that's the purpose. usual 4d armrests that remain relatively in place means when the chair is reclined, the armrests are pretty much out of reach and thus useless

A decade ago I flew to Chicago on business from uk. Bought a MacBook Air from the Apple Store. The price difference was the air fare. It was even better in 1986 when I went to USA on hols. £1 = $2!

@GudieveNing Indeed, I went to Florida in 1991 on holiday, remember that being 2 to 1, even in 2002 it was still a decent rate. But how can they charge the same price when it equates to being about 25% cheaper? I can only assume a bigger market over there means a fair amount being subsidised here for more sales. VAT. American prices don't include sales tax because different states have different rates. We do still pay too much in the UK but most of the price difference is VAT.

I bought Cosair T3 Rushchair three years ago, I discovered that the chair had developed a noticeable tilt, which seems to be the root cause of my back pain. I really do believe the product has huge issue.

We also had this problem with the tc200, first time the tilt mechanism snapped as it had a weak spot. Corsair sent a replacement of a whole new chair even though we only wanted a new tilt mechanism sent. 5 months later the new chair had developed a constant noticeable tilt as well. They are now offering us this chair as the 2nd replacement and hopefully this one's tilt mechanism is better but I have my doubts. (We bought a crappy tilt mechanism off of eBay for £30 and put it on the old chair and it works so much better than the original one)

So i had 3 contesters from buying 2 different chairs for my 2 gaming rooms. They were the Razer Iskur v2, Secretlab titan evo, and this corsair. The secret lab seems great. While less cushoned than both razer and corsair, it seems to have slightly more support than the corsair. The corsair seems like a bit more comfort oriented but version of the secret lab. The razer is out, due to one simple issue for me. The side to side swivel on the lumbar support, since it can encourage bad posture in more than one way. The strap vs magnetic pillow is just another little nitpick. I know it could have been the most support out of them all... shame...

Are the casters proprietary, or can they be replaced with Universal casters designed for vinyl / hardwood floors?

Casters are the standard pop in type you see on most gaming chairs so you should be able to use whatever you like.

That's really tough to say, they both have 4 way lumbar support and I like them both comfort wise, it may come down to whether you prefer the flat back of the Secretlab or the quilted pattern.

As a non gamer but work at Homer with a boney butt and my hubby bought me a Secret lab chair I swear they need more cushion in that area! I know some gamers go for way long hours and I sit on pillows with my chair lol other then that I love my chair.

So I am going with the Corsair and the lab. Ppl saying that rzr and corsair are not exclusively chair companies are blinded. There is sadly a few quality control issues with the lab. Both the other companies are well established with larger r&d and company resources. They both also seem more quality controlled with their own separate chair departments. I have no problem with them having a wide range of products. With that said, secret lab chairs seem solid. Nothing there that a few DIY tweaks can't fix. And the amount of people raving about how great they are is insane. I will use your link to the corsair this next Friday. DO you have a link to the lab also? I see myself watching movies and playing rpg's in the corsair, and do competitive gaming, or just sit for my bad back for a slightly more support in the lab! Great review brother!!!

Armrests didn't bother me, I've tried chairs that have armrests that don't raise up high enough and give no support when typing, these were fine but everyone will have their gripes.

I'm torn between it and my Secretlab but it's really more about aesthetic and whether I want white lights in the room with the gray Secretlab or if I'll stick with the green and walnut look with orange lights. I like both chairs equally and in the end it may come down to which looks best on camera. Whatever you decide I'd appreciate it if you used my link!

I would rather have a chair from a company that just makes chairs. Corsair might be great at a lot of things but I wouldn't pay the price tag for it on top of those stupid side bumpers. I really dislike and gaming chairs with those as it makes it very uncomfortable for those who use a wider sitting posture to get full comfort. I have been using my secretlabs Titan XL 2020 now for over four years and its still going strong with no wear or broken parts. After years of buying crap sub $200.00 chairs, I pulled the trigger on the Titan XL 2020 and couldn't be happier.

I love my Titan XL too but I want to buy another chair for using at work - the chairs in my office suck - and for work to pay for it it has to be from a store with a physical presence in my province. So no Secret labs unfortunately. I can get corsair through BestBuy though so I'm leaning towards one of these.

I want a very honest opinion, I'm looking for a very comfortable gaming chair, do you recommend this Corsair LUXE TC500 or Secretlab TITAN EVO? after which I should buy it, I am undecided

My very honest opinion is that both chairs are high quality premium chairs. Cons are that with the Corsiar you may feel the bumps of the quilted pattern, with the Secretlab you might find the seat too firm and get butt soreness. It's tough to know how your body will feel as we're all different but I suppose if I were to start over I'd go Secretlab simply for the endless customization.

In my opinion, for that price I would rather get the Secretlab Titan evo 2020 that is almost a hundred bucks cheaper than this one. However, this chair is not bad at all and looks pretty comfortable and elegant.

Where did you find it for $100 cheaper? I priced Titan Evo in black starting at $549, that said I think both chairs are pretty close in quality so personal preference will be the dealbreaker.
