Most helpful corset guided on the web! I am so excited to begin my waist training journey the right way. I had stubbornly ordered the wrong one for my shape, had a couple issues, after speaking to a customer service representative and submitting the proper measurements they guided me to a different corset all together because it was more appropriate for my curvy shape. I was extremely nervous because I felt like a dumbass for not asking for help in the beginning but they were EXTREMELY patient with me and very kind. As someone who has always worked in customer service myself, it was so refreshing to receive the kind of service I would provide. Hands down, best retailer I have ever gone through.

I have been watching these videos for a couple hrs. I have a very nice corset with steel boning ( not from Here) but I had bought it from a dealer at a fair. They basically cinch you up and send you home. I had no idea what was wrong but it didn't seem to fit right and was causing me pain. It wasn't sitting at my natural waistline either. Which these videos helped me to re- lace my corset to fit better and man did it make a huge difference! It fits so much better! Now I am not sad that I had spent almost $200 on a corset i thought was fit incorrectly. I am so glad. Also after I officially get used to wearing mine more often I will definitely buy my next one from here! I love that its not about just pushing sales but educating people on how to be safe and get the most out of what they buy.

1 - The first time I wore my corset: My mind was consumed with the fact that something was squeezing me to death (it was only snug, not tight). I was too focused on my breathing, but I finished my 2 hours. 2 - The 2nd time I wore my corset (today): It didn't disturb me at all. And my family said my waist looked smaller than the first time I wore it, which means I inadvertantly made it "snuggier" than the first time and didn't even notice. 😁

In that case all my corsets I've had have been too big. I've never needed to season a corset, I can put one on and straight away close it with a A shape lacing pattern. The reason why is because there isn't enough Hip room for my hips
@orchardcorset9 жыл бұрын
M Hacking Great question! Up to about an inch is normal (depending on the corset and the size of corset). Each corset new can have a +/- .25 inches (so a size 24 can measure anywhere between a 23.75 and 24.25 inches at the waist brand new). It could be that your first one was a little over and the new one a little under-exaggerating that effect.
@littleredsboots8 жыл бұрын
Hello! I recently bought an under bust corset and not knowing this I have been wearing it around fully tightened or close to it for maybe an hour or few more at a time I have done that maybe 3 or 4 times now, is it too late or could be too damaged to season now? I haven't noticed it doing damage but I also am very new to this (I will be watching your videos!) I have worn corsets but none that are for waist training before(halloween cheap corsets previously). It brings my waist to a 23-22in area and my waist is 25.5in. I will do the seasoning steps, if I have caused any damage will that help? I'm sorry if this is poorly written I wasn't sure how to ask.
@tinabeana44958 жыл бұрын
Well the seasoning process is just meant to prevent injury to yourself or from it breaking it. Id take a guess that at this point you probably just needed to make sure the Straight bones in the back aren't twisted, and that none of the seams have popped etc, and if those things didn't take place, I doubt you ruined it, and should switch to gently seasoning it.
@sianmilne48797 жыл бұрын
khoal sherwood I'm by no way an expert but I've heard that you should do about a 2 inch reduction while seasoning. you've only gone over by an inch or two so I'm sure you're fine. most people wear a corset "fully tightened" to a 5 or 6 inch reduction which might cause damage (to you or the bones) if the corset isn't seasoned.
@simonpieman693410 жыл бұрын
Is the seasoning process any different for the mesh corset? I just got mine in the mail today and I'm excited but I want to be able to season it correctly, even if it is different than from the satin one.
@orchardcorset10 жыл бұрын
Seasoning tends to be much quicker with the mesh corsets. You can wear it for longer periods when seasoning and it forms to your body faster. As with anything though, listen to your body and don't over cinch the corset. Keep it just snug for the first several times you wear it.
@msBadkitty199 жыл бұрын
Should you always have some type of clothes between you and your corset? Over bust too?
@orchardcorset9 жыл бұрын
msBadkitty19 it's a good "best practices" rule to follow when you can, but it doesn't always work out, especially in the case of overbusts. I almost never wear anything under my overbust corset, although it would be easy enough to cut a camisole to make it work. You just need to be aware that protecting your corset from the oils and sweat from your body will prolong the life of the corset and will determine how often you would need to have it cleaned.

Hi Cheri. I just received my Black Satin CS-411 in the mail today. I ordered a size 22. I've noticed that I had about 4 inches of modest panel exposed on my first wear for only 30 minutes.. Should I exchange for a size 24 ?
@orchardcorset10 жыл бұрын
So you have 4" to go before your modesty panel reaches the other side? If that is the case..then it is too small and yes a 24 will fit better.

Is it normal for a corset to stretch after seasoning it? I have 2 CS-301 corsets one which I seasoned by wearing it for 2 hours twice a day for about a month and the other I have just started seasoning today. When I lay them out and compare them my first corset is just over an inch 'longer' then the one I have yet to wear. Is stretching normal? If so how much and how do I take this into account when ordering a new one?

So I'm confused about seasoning... after you tighten it…make it snug the first time you wear it for seasoning, do each time after that do you tighten the corset tighter than the last time or just tighten it snug throughout the seasoning process…. then you can tighten it very tight? Whew :) I've been just keeping it a little snug when i feel it loose i tighten it snug again.
@orchardcorset10 жыл бұрын
Each time you wear the corset you will be able to tighten it a little more to get it to the "snug" point, so yes you will be cinching it more each time. Don't cinch it really tight until the corset is well-seasoned and forms to your body without gapping, and even then, don't over-cinch to the point of discomfort.

Thank you so much for answering so quickly that answers my question. :)

Hello, I have a cs411 black satin in a size 20". I am on my first wear (1st time) of seasoning and I have about a 1 1/2" roughly space gap from where the modesty panel is too the other side. Is that okay? Or is this too small? Naturally I have a 24-25" waist. Thank you!
@orchardcorset10 жыл бұрын
Hi Sara, With that natural waist measurement, I would say a 20 was spot on-but you should be able to reach the other side. Did you pull the corset pretty snug? (but not tight?) The modest panel is right about 5"-so closing the gap shouldn't be a problem. When measuring your waist...you don't want to pull the tape tight either-just taught :)

I'm New to Corseting as I have only been Corseting for about a year. I'm five foot four and weigh 120 pounds and have a twenty nine inch waist. What I want to do with my corset is I want to have a twenty five inch waist AND I want to GAIN twenty to thirty pounds but have the weight redistributed to Anywhere but my midsection. I use light fitness training along with corseting. My question is: is my goal obtainable and are my expectations realistic? I used to weigh 198 pounds and I had really big boobs and a nice butt BUT I also had a fat stomach that made me look pregnant. I want my chest size increased without the fat gut. I do exercises and eat healthy foods every day. Also is it safe to wear a corset when on your menstrual cycle?

I have a question. If I want to wear my corset under my clothes, is there a way to tie it so that the strings don't show?
@orchardcorset10 жыл бұрын
Hi Adrianna, there are a couple of options for for hiding the laces depending on how much length you need to hide. You could tuck them up under the modesty panel from the bottom or tuck them under the bottom edge of each side of the corset. If you find that to be too bulky with the standard laces, you can order some of our ribbon laces and re-lace your corset with them (we have a video how-to for that as well!). You would still need to tuck them either under the modesty panel or the bottom edges, but the ribbon laces are much less bulky. Hope that helps!

"...if you can't see what I'm doing, that's okay." NO, it really isn't okay, whether or not there are other videos specifically for lacing! And, I'm in no way saying that you'd have to do your lacing more slowly or differently just because we're watching, you wouldn't. It would just be so beneficial if we could see it, that's all I'm saying. The more we (your viewers, especially beginners) see it being done, the better for "sticking it" in our brains.....THAT is LEARNING/TEACHING 101. Why don't you turn around (with your back to the camera) when you're doing things like loosening or tightening the laces to remove or put on the corset or just tightening the cinch? We don't need to see your face while you're speaking; MUCH MORE HELPFUL to see what you're doing behind your back! I've noticed this on all your vids, so I'm wondering if you have a reason for not doing that? If so, and whatever your reason could be, I believe it would be of SO MUCH VALUE to your viewers if you would just TURN AROUND when you are doing whatever it is you're doing with your laces SO THAT WE CAN WATCH......please.
