Hello guys, if ever you are wondering why I used two different bonings, it is because I want to showcase on how to insert or apply these two different bonings on the corset, and also to have a comparison between the two. Honestly, the reason why I didn't use Rigilene Boning to all of my seams is, I really do not prefer using this technique. Aside from it takes a lot of effort and time, for me it ruins the aesthetic of each seam. Inserting the plastic boning on the other hand is very easy. By the way if you prefer to use Steel Boning instead of a plastic boning, go for it! I just don't like using it because Steel Boning is not easily accessible here in the Philippines, aside from that you need a lot of tools to modify each steel boning according to the size or length. So there you go I hope this clarifies everything and I hope you enjoy this tutorial. Yes! Of course you can. As a patternmaker or designer exploring different techniques and using different fabrics is very much possible. 😇
