Sometimes if you add another spring clip you might want to send it down a little bit play and sometimes you have to grind the end of the shafts a little bit give me a little room for in play

Great video, I noticed some play on top of my c3 rear wheels too when the tires are off the ground so it isn`t necessary to disassemble it for a rebuild, right ? I guess it maybe should even have some play to compensate for half shaft lenght change during suspension rebound?

Hello. I have exactly the same issue like you and disassembled the diff just like you and found the same situation. Did you reassembled it with the two snaprings or what was your solution?

How does adding shims to the clutches fix the play in the shafts?

I've seen a lot of play on the wheel. It usually turns out to be a combination of things. That's a lot going into the pumpkin though

Bad wheel bearing, diff is fine

what a stupid comment. The axle acts as a upper control arm on these cars. Slop in the diff causes this situation and it is a known problem.
