Corvette Stingray BARNFIND!! 12th Installment! On The Road Again!!!

This is the 12th installment of a series restoring a 1974 Corvette Stingray. On the road again! Found in a barn in rural Pennsylvania, this "Shark" generation C3 has found a new home....APEX DETAIL! The third generation Corvette, patterned after the Mako Shark II concept car, was introduced for the 1968 model year and was in production until 1982. C3 coupes featured the first use of T-top removable roof panels. It introduced monikers that were later revived, such as LT-1, ZR-1, Z07 and Collector Edition. In 1978, the Corvette's 25th anniversary was celebrated with a two-tone Silver Anniversary Edition and an Indy Pace Car replica edition of the C3. This was also the first time that a Corvette was used as a Pace Car for the Indianapolis 500

Looks awesome, I am reviving a 74 that was in way worse shape. I have the same wheels and was thinking of going with ralley's but after your easy restoration I may just keep with these. What size tires did you go with? Can't wait to see it with the side pipes.

I have always been a Camaro guy, but I like Corvettes as well. One of my good friends had a 72 Stingray he stripped down completely and had a full color change to a newer Cadillac black cherry iridescent tricot with a little metallic...man was it beautiful. I'd love to do a 454 LSX swap with a six speed, maybe even a supercharger or turbo

Im surprised you didnt go with an EFI kit like everyone else these days. Personally, on these older V8's, im a fan of Carbs. Properly dialed in with a vacuum gauge, Carbs can compete with fuel injection.

I've been detailing for over 25 years and didn't think anyone could really teach me anything about paint but you have proved me wrong. I've learned a few technical aspects about paint that I was unaware of. I use very similar techniques and achieve great results too but you're never too old to learn. Keep up the great work. Subbed.

Very nice, sir. BUT, if those are (Le Mans spec) Lucas sealed-beam lamps, wouldn't they be "rotational"? The beam pattern assumes a proper horizontal alignment of the front glass? Just askin', sir.

C3’s and C4’s aren’t valuable at all, they’re the cheapest Vette you can buy. You can throw $50k at it and it’s still a $15-25k car.

WR ZL1 I would never throw that kind of money at any car. Never get it back. In my area. C3 68 to 74 are being snatched up quickly.

Nice looking Vette. Do the car a favor and get rid of that glass gas filter.....they are fire hazards, especially if its sat as long as you said. The two o-rings are the only thing that seals those. I used to have one on my TA and I took it off and replaced it with a steel filter.

Car looks absolutely stunning. Love the shine of that vette. One of my neighbors had a stingray in the same color. An older lady had it since new and drove it to church and grocery store had maybe 30 thousand original miles. Oh and the Willie Nelson song was absolutely perfect for this car.
