It can be annoying switching back and forth, but you will get better results with aluminum if you switch to a #6 or so cup. The fupa 12 isn't recommended for ac welding. The arc wanders a lot with a large gas shield. All love, just a piece of advice

Hummer tip from a Marine: Stock Hummers don't have diff lockers. If you're spinning one wheel, just apply enough brakes to stop the spinning and add a little more throttle. Takes some practicing, so dont write it off.

​@@TimothyYocky they have three torsen diffs. can send as little as about 10% torque to the wheel with the least traction. so 10% brake (compared to gas) and all the gas u need. if you have one front and one rear completely off the ground and u want to send max power to the remaining two tires 25-33% brake and all the gas you want. same for both tires on one axle. Torsens automatically and instantly send torque where it can get grip, but only are able to split 3-4x to the better axle before the voodoo cant do anymore. So like if you have one tire totally off the ground, only that tire will spin and you wont have any acceleration, but 10% brake and full gas, and you get 90% of the engine torque to the other 3 wheels. Hope that explains. Actually explaining the mechanism takes a long video, just search torsen or truetrac.

The NV242 has AWD, 4WD loc hi, and 4WD loc low. And the center dif is very susceptible to galling. And the hoses in and out are for a cooler inside the t-case, it goes in and through a heat exchanger inside the t-case then out.

I had a silicone elbow like that on my LS and couldn’t figure out why I was getting vacuum under WOT, turns out the LS was sucking the elbow closed! They move a lot of air!

The air filter restriction is what creates the intake vacuum that would try to suck that elbow closed. Considering he's using the enormous Humvee fender mounted air cleaner, I would expect very low filter restriction.

I honestly do feel like this thing deserves good exhaust piping. Whether that be a suitable straight pipe, or an exhaust with a decent muffler that gives it a good form of character. Also yeah I can tell that this humvee with it's current suspension is the literal definition of An Abstract Carnival Of Pain for one's poor spine..

So idk if my dogs a tank or what, but I caught him drinking out of a bowl of coolant I had just drained and he was fine. Took him to the emergency vet and they said modern coolant doesn't have some ingredients that it used to do it's not AS toxic as it used to be..... Still it's not something to be carless about

@@thedude7726 afaik modern coolant is still usually water & ethylene glycol (toxic) but they put a bitter taste in most of them now to discourage pets from drinking it. Propylene glycol is a nontoxic alternative, but I don't think it's as common b/c it's somewhat less effective

The bittering agent in most modern anti-freeze is pretty intense. It's not as bad as the old stuff which was super sweet. If you get any of the coolant in your mouth, trust me, it ruins your mouth for a good bit. Stuff is strong

I was actually among the first people to get a military license for M998 as we were phasing out the M151s. The two vehicles are barely comparable but I will say its very impressive what an M151 could climb in granny gear (just don't try to turn on that slope) but the day I was amazed by an M998 was when one of the engineers big terex wheel loaders was stuck in a ditch and we were able to assist it out with a tow from an M998. As for speed and handling both the M998 and M151 were nothing to write home about but the M151 was very unforgiving when mishandled and a deathtrap in an accident. I saw the remains of one that was behind a regular car stopped at a light that was rear ended by a pickup, the jeep literally folded in half at the front seats with the hood mashed into the back seat, driver crushed.
