What carts are you using through the 20 guage hushpower ?
@profireoutdoors Жыл бұрын
I normally run any subsonic shell I can get but they have drastically gone up on price unfortunately. So recently I've been using 7 and a halfs as well as some 8s due to most of the crow shooting being under 30yards.

Hi I know it’s an older video, but I really enjoyed to watch it. My question is: Do you feel the Hushpower less powerful than another non moderated 20 bore? Or there is no significant difference? Thanks in advance.
@profireoutdoors10 ай бұрын
Tbh I don't feel anything atol there's a rubber pad at the end of the stock so there's very little kick to it atol.

@@profireoutdoorsgreat video mate what cartridge was you using in the 2nd clip on the crop protection? I’ve just got a mossberg 500 in 20g I’ve got some some gamebore 5 30gms have you ever tried them?
@profireoutdoors10 ай бұрын
@@ryankeighron thanks bud! Yeah the wee hush power makes for some fun shooting! Ok the farm yards with such close shooting i usually use a light load. 28g 8/9s they pack the perfect amount of power for shooting stuff in under 20 yards

@profireoutdoors10 ай бұрын
@@ryankeighron yeah bud they work 100% you should look into some subsonic 20bore shells to really get the good out of the hush power

Great video! here in the states we don't have 9 1/2. We use 6 shot for crows and pheasant and 7.5 or 8 for dove or quail. The larger the # the smaller the shot. How does it work across the pond? 9.5 on our scale would be a very small shot.
@profireoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Yeah same thing bud only really meant to use 9.5 for clay targets as such but I was gifted a large amount of them and wanted to test them out with a few crows close range. I'm a big believer in that if the hail is in the right place no matter the shot size it will do the business.
@KingsOutdoorLife3 жыл бұрын
@@profireoutdoors it very well worked! I’ve killed many crows with 7.5 & 8’s. The more hail going down range the better too. Is ammo hard to come by there now? It is very scarce here right now.

@@KingsOutdoorLife no thankfully it's not too bad atm to find ammo. It's unfortunately going well up in price tho that's the only killer.

hi buddy i no its a little late on this vid, ive just had this same gun. did you struggle to hit your target at first, a few people have mentioned they shoot low.i carnt seem to hit a thing with mine. first 25 carts i hit 2 birds. is it just a case of getting used to it. any feedback would be much appreciated 👍
@profireoutdoors4 ай бұрын
Tbh bud it did and still does take me abit getting onto it. I only really use the hushpower a few months or the year most of the year most of the time it sits in the cabinet. It takes me the first 2 crows usually to get onto it but what I done help is going back to basics and slowing my movement and shooting down. So slowly into the shoulder and onto the target......keep swinging and then squeeze. If your finding your shooting low you could need a pad on the cheek piece itself. The best thing to do is take a bit of paper or cardboard and draw a crow or pigeon onto it then stand and quickly aim and shoot at it and see where you are with a static target then it'll let you know if you need a pad or not bud hope that helps. Any more questions don't be afraid to hit me up on Instagram 👍🏻
