@GoofiePeanut no a plasma spin involves a pressure flip, where as for the merlin twist you start a frontside heel flip but leave your front foot down so you use your heel to scoop/wrap the board around your leg once the heel flip has flipped 1/4 the rotation

Fun fact: in 2017 Jamie Griffin create the Merlin flip late flip on a pyramid (with a classic late movement), in 2023 he land a Merlin twist late flip perfectly on flatground (close to the mike mo flip way to late)
