I think the lower bolt you refer to as the block is actually the water pump. The upper one near the exhaust headers is the block

my zx6r runs good it just gets hot when moving through slow traffic or sitting stationary ith the engine running for example when im driving through london when its busy but then the fan kicks in and it brings temp back down but i feel like it gets hot to quick or is that just normal for sports bikes cause theyre not designed for moving slow and have all that fairing around them?

Funny that I started watching you’re vids a couple months ago, got a blue ZX6R 08 from superbike factory, you are currently riding supermotos and I’m here looking for info as to why my ZX6R gets so hot when stationary too haha madness! I’ve figured out though it’s just how they are lol

Doing a coolant flush is always a good idea on a high revving bike so that you know it’s getting the proper and right coolant, but to answer your question, yes your bikes going to get hotter sitting at a light or at idle and your fans will kick on because you have a lot of heat all in that area and your sitting right on top of it so your going to feel the bike get hotter as well. Hope that answers your question!

Where do I add the coolant ?

The coolant flush looks like the easy part, I think the real chanllenge is to put the fairings back on. Could you make another video about the fairing installation?
@CoryCinciNationStudios Жыл бұрын
Once you take your fairings off and you pay attention to what bolt, washer, but you are to taking off they are pretty simple to put back on! I suggest having bike stands so it’s upright but you can do it simple just make sure you have all your bolts!

How often do you change your coolant or are you just basing it off on the service manual?
@CoryCinciNationStudios Жыл бұрын
I changed the coolant because I was the second owner and I didn’t know if it had been changed plus I just wanted to put flush coolant in the bike at the time. It ran fine before and maybe a bit cooler after but following the owners manual recommended time or mileage is always a good idea!

one questions, i have the same bike but how do i know the level to see if i have coolant without removing the fairings? can it be done?
@CoryCinciNationStudios7 жыл бұрын
Open your radiator cap with the bike cold, you should be able to get to it with the fairings on no problem, if you think its low add coolant to the over flow tank and if it goes down you will know that you needed more coolant or if your bike is running hot if its running hot there could be air in the system which then you would open the radiator cap and start the bike and let it warm to running temp to get the air bubbles out of the system hope that helps!!
