@@CoryMay81 It’s extremely Moist in Northern California.. LOL.. We have a lot of eucalyptus tree over here. Once is grown into the street, we have to get a permit and hire someone to help trim the eucalyptus tree.. it’s beautiful to see on other property or in the forest..

ALOHA! when I first went to Japan in1996 I noticed and took pictures of many gorgeous manhole covers. Back then and to today I am amazed at Japan's attention to detail. Loved this episode! Mahalo!

Hello Sher, that's really cool. I wish I had paid more attention to manholes back in the 90s. Hopefully I can make some more videos showing the designs of these street coverings. Thanks for watching! ^^

Aloha Cory ~ Yaaay mission accomplished and with so much more!!! Modern Japan is being shown all the time but the Japan of olden days is so interesting and I love how you are able to bring both worlds to us. Again the colors, the scenes of people going about their everyday life, random scenes along the way (pigeons) to me are such a treat. Thank you for all the joy you bring and as always, stay safe...stay healthy :)

I am 6 months late I know, but still, I want you to know how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your shots in this video! Such an honest-to-goodness artistic take on the day-to-day life in Matsudo! You capture all the little details with so much oomph that something in me just wants to keep saying WOW. And yes, your talent is really WOW. I really hope you keep doing these short artistic videos about life in Japan. Yes, I love your livestreams too, but there is just something about your short videos that kinda speaks to me and draws me to want to watch more. Please, more short videos pls. Even 3 to 5min - videos are enough to feed our soul. Thank you so much Cory for sharing your talent! You really are amazing. :)

Cory, I don't know what it is about your videos but I am drawn to the detail I get from you setting down the camera and allowing us to soak in the streets and sidewalks. I am much more interested in this than say a video about that gundlam giant robot, I love just seeing what you see when walking around, watching people go about their daily lives, it's so much more interesting and fascinating. I enjoy it when you walk past stores, walk in them, walking through a train station, these are all things we'd do if we were there. I'm loving it buddy! Thanks!

Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad that you enjoy my type of content. I know many other KZbinrs in Japan show similar things to each other, and I know it's easy to make the same kind of content and get the same amount of views/attention. But I want to feel happy by showing something a little different, in my own way. I'm not saying those other videos are bad, but they're a dime-a-dozen. Thanks again for watching!

It was very interesting to learn about the manhole covers. Koalas are very cute animals and I like how they always put a baby with the parent in the pictures. hi, wow you have some patience setting up those walk on/off shots .... all that extra editing you definitely have a different style than some other ppl i've seen, not worried about who ends up in shots and now for a question .... did you think much on ....in this shot i'm going to stop and tie my shoe? liked the pigeon shots, rats with wings but still nature stuff. see you on the live if i can time it right
@CoryMay814 жыл бұрын
Thanks Allan. It is a little extra work to place the tripod and setup the camera, then walk out and back, but not too bad. Like it's not adding on significant amounts of extra time when I go out to film. Hmmm... almost all of the walking shots are done on the spot without any preplanning. As I see a spot that I want to film a walking scene, I just do whatever feels natural. That one point to stop and tie my shoe, it was literally on-the-spot and I liked how it turned out. Hope to see you in the next live stream on Thursday! Take care

Nice walk & koala hunt! If you crush the eucalyptus leaves you'll get a strong smell of eucalypt. Funny as an Aussie seeing Koala's on a Japanese town's manholes. .... Any towns with Kangaroos or wombats? 😉
@CoryMay814 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I actually did that. I picked off a few leaves and then crumbled them in my hands to get that nice smell. That's actually a good question, I have no idea about the manholes of other cities or prefectures. It is a super huge topic to try and tackle in a video, but I could try to do some more manhole videos just seeing what I find in specific areas. I wish I could travel more across Japan but right now that is not feasible because of financial reasons and Covid. Please stay safe. Thanks for watching!
