Anything more complicated than a I iv V vi chord progression has a way of nurishing the soul.
@UnleashDLion2 жыл бұрын
@@GuitarSlayer136 nah the chords aren’t the problem, it is how they are used .. ii-V-I or variations of I-vi-IV-V can be as tasteful as progs with borrowed chords. In fact, you can stay simple and let the voice or bass over a simple progression add interesting chord tones but in super pop music they just keep boring us with their boundaries which my producer friends and acquaintances justify by saying that this has a lot to do with the untrained ear (their audience) feeling more comfortable with the root third fifth melodies and 1 key songs because a lot of them are actually trained musicians and love jazzy music but when it comes to producing they just keep it within those sonic boundaries. That said you can also create very beautiful melodies using 3 notes so back to my original point.. it’s how you use them not the notes themselves.

I can't get this freaking song out of my head. How this video doesn't already have 10+ million views and, at the time of writing, instead sits at a measly 40k views is straight criminal. Keep up the great work Cory and all, your music funks to infinity and may you explode in popularity.

This was my introduction to these live performances 😂. I heard it first on Spotify and said "OH MY DAMN"!!! Big Wilds falsetto is clean AF. I even watched the one 2 one interview with he and Cory. Cory was worried about that beautiful falsetto. I honestly thought it was a track until I heard the subtle differences. DAT BOI GUUD😂😂😂

I would love to see a breakdown of how you guys film your show; both the concert sets and the sketches. You could call it "On the (Frame) 1". I think you should use the same format, too, just replace the audio software with the video software. I'm most curious about whether you shoot the song multiple times with few cameras or do you use a lot of cameras so that all the shots are from the real take.
@CoryWongMusic2 жыл бұрын
4 cameras. all from the real take. don't have the time to do otherwise! we normally do about 3 takes per tune...every once in a while i'll have to pull one section from a separate take, but i pull the video from that take as well. everything is recorded on click, so it all lines up easy
