Knowing the lore now, "She was almost the same age" makes so much sense. Agatha was almost the same age as Tammy, Doug's daughter, and the memory is of a troubled child who had something horrible happen to her; they were both killed, and Doug accidentally killed his daughter. This game is insanely good, and everything pieces together so nicely. It's all planned.

it does relate to the character cory's playing as in chapter 4, because all the character (Doug) did in his old life was indulging himself in pleasure (having affairs) and probably Luxury too. so it seems that each round is somewhat related to the character in a way, seeing as how the secretary in chapter 4 had also said something about "don't expect any monkey business in the hotel" which also sounds as if it's referring to the first round.

So a quick theory: what if Malak is actually not evil, but is actually being held captive by Bierce? It would explain what he said at the end of the chapter and why he is seemingly trapped in a door. Bierce is the real devil, and each of the levels is one of the circles of hell like in Dante’s Inferno. Once she has all the shards, maybe she can kill malak and finally take back control. You would also forever be trapped in hell, as the devils servant. Just some food for thought!!!

Hey Cory just lost my bestfriend today. His name is Soloman Mason. He was playing in a basketball tournament when he fell and broke his neck. As soon as he got up,he fell right back down because he was having a seizure. He was rushed to the hospital. In the hospital his heart stopped beating. I’m 14 and he was only 13.
