Hi there!, Using the carseat foward facing on the go (taxi uber) do we also need to use the tether strap?. or it can be secure only with the vehicle belt? ( passing through obviously through the forward facing belt path). Is doesn't seem easy to install the tether strap with normal cars ( with 3 seats at the back) how can be reach the back of the seat with that hook?. Also, on the go (taxi/uber) is not possible to ready every car manual.

Most taxis don’t have it so if it doesn’t then don’t worry about it

I know this is 3 three years late but i hope you figured it out . For others , look in your car’s manual under “child seat.” It was there but never noticed it: look on the back of the seat (i climbed in the trunk) , there is a metal loop you can hook either the tether or the latch onto. My car is from 2003.

I can help. You first put the car seat in the middle of plane seat, then put the plane seat belt through Forawd facing belt path and pull on strap until it is as tight as you can get it! Hope this helps

There’s a tether with a hook (top of back of car seat) or latch with hook (bottom of car seat) . Then look on the back of the regular seat , at the bottom of the seat there’s a black metal loop that you hook EITHER of them on . Over the seat for the tether or for latch: through the bottom of the seat there’s a hidden hole that you feed it through to the other side to hook it underside. Took me forever to figure out !
