Free Spirit, I like how you’re not zipping thru the deck when you show us each card. Thank you. It’s very helpful to be able to look at each image for awhile, like you’re making possible-to let the details sink in. For same reason, I also like how you are showing the cards very close up. 👍👍👍 Planning on getting this deck soon as a b’day present to self. Yay!!! 😸 (Last year got a new Thoth deck for my b’day, to replace an old Greenie. Been using that new deck all year. Maybe I’ll make that a tradition!)

Sean Connery is King of Wands; Charles Bronson is Knight of Pentacles. Cosmic Tarot is a great tarot deck and the minors are based on the Thoth Tarot which is why the pictures are different from the RWS.

Yup. I was thinking the same thing, bc I am familiar w both the Smith-Waite deck and the Thoth deck. Free Spirit was commenting on the different feeling she picked up for 7of Pentacles/Disks. There’s a huge difference between the images and meanings of that card in those two decks, with this Loesche deck’s 7 of Pentacles being very similar in meaning to Thoth’s 7. This was actually one of the cards I had the hardest time accepting when I began learning the Thoth deck after years of reading the Smith-Waite. Because the S-W 7 is so positive, the Thoth 7 so bleak you want to reject it when it appears! But one thing I’m learning is to accept the differences and work with them. Both of those decks are very special. Now I’m looking forward to obtaining this deck and gaining fresh insights into Tarot from it! Beautiful colors and images.

Hi I can't remember what cards they were, but some of the faces remind me of Actors ..Burt Reynolds was one Elizabeth Taylor was another,, Arnold Schwarzenegger... sounds a bit whacky lol but that was what came to mind straight away..

Just ordered these. I connected to them fast, actually. What’s so odd about these cards: it’s like a European mixed with India mixed with Hollywood “feel” to them. Hard to explain. 🌈🌈🌈

They're a cinematic themed deck, from the Golden Age of Hollywood. They made epic motion pictures set in Europe, India, the Middle East, Egypt, whatall.

Must I begin with a Ryder or Smith-Waite deck to learn all I need at the start? Ths deck has the images I most love, of all I have ever seen, along with my first, Hanson Roberts. Can I learn enough from these and move up to Waite decks later? I need an opinion, lol, and thanks!

Absolutely you can learn with whatever deck most resonates you! That matters the most! I know lots of people who never use traditional RWS decks because they don’t like artwork and prefer other decks artwork. Enjoy using a deck that works best for you that you really like using ! :)
