Then ooohhh boy to see Cosmosnin Collision and meet the one being who stood toe to toe with IG Thanos and was unharmed. I personally don’t think no matter how powerful the Adam from another reality is, he can be Living Tribunal, or Living Tribunal can be killed or replaced, just makes no sense to me considering “what” the Living Tribunal is.

Stan and Jack were ahead of themselves in the 1960s. What looks like black dots on sheets of paper in the case Ben and Reed were given probably were VLSI and ULSI chips. VLSI: Very large Scale Integration ULSI: Ultra large Scale Integration Its cool to actually see something like this now in 2022.

It’s honestly kinda disturbing that Adam Warlock’s origins have a lot of Eugenics-y overtones to it: namely, the very idea that a race of “perfect beings” is the solution to stopping war and crime. This is saying nothing of Ayesha’s later attempts to bone Adam Warlock, and then in an alternate timeline choosing the blue-eyed blonde-haired Wendell Vaughn to be the father of a bunch of perfect children

I wonder what Kirby and Lee would've done with Him had they continued working on him? It seemed like they were making him a sort of Silver Surfer type of character: I wish they had done more with him. It feels like he was depowered a little when he became Adam Warlock in my opinion.

When I first came across your channel, I thought " Cool, this channel loves comic books as much as I do." But...I hear you belittle, and mock these books. These were written in early 1960's they are classified as "comic books" . So if you want to share these wonderful books, leave your personal opinion to your self and share these books as they were written.

The bulk of this comes out of a pre-cut/paste response but I always individualize it a little bit. This isn't story time. I praise plenty of good writers and comics in this series. But I can't just sit and read comics to people, nor do I want to. If you want to just know the story - I suggest spending the $60 a year on a Marvel U subscription and then you can read most of Marvel's back catalog. But for a YT channel - There is this thing called the DMCA, check it out. It protects the use of copyrighted materials upon transformative use and use of copyrighted work without permission under circumstances such commentary, criticism, news, teaching, and research. This channel gives commentary and criticism to comics while presenting it in a transformative way which differs from the original work. I love America but I can still support critical race theory (oh see, I just changed that part today - see if you can figure out where the cut and paste picks back up). I can still be critical of America's past and admit its flaws. The same carries over to comics. Some of the authors are great and do a wonderful job understanding the characters they are writing about - what motivates those characters, a detailed understanding of their past, etc. - some writers come in and ignore the shoulders of the giants the walked before them. There are tons of continuity errors in these early comics - that's why the "no-prize" was a thing. The reader got the "no-prize" for pointing out and the then proposing an idea whereby it didn't break the verisimilitude of the setting - the "no-prize" was a joke and an admission of mistakes (and the suggested fixes were many times tongue in cheek). I grew up watching these same creators laugh at their early works - go listen to old interviews where they bemoan some of their horrible early ideas. They were just throwing stuff out and seeing what people responded to. Then we get the next big generation of writers coming it - people like Jim Sterling who took a character like Captain Marvel who I think had been cancelled three times already at that point (maybe only 2) and turned him into an icon in his battle with Thanos - he knew the character and respected canon. He did this again when he wrote Adam Warlock and pitched him against Magus and he knew how to draw from the Canon established by people like Mike Friedrich. Sterling showed respect to those who came before him. Go read Mark Gruenwald's Captain America and Quasar runs. That's another great example of how you respect and grow canon. Compare that to Margaret Stohl's run on Captain Marvel where she completely disregards the pre-existing family dynamic, changes the chauvinistic hero father Carol looked up into a child abuser, then Stohl makes Carol's mother Kree and then has the audacity to call her daughter a Kree (this shows that Stohl and editor in cheif at the time C.B. Cebulski had no idea how Kree lineage worked - you were considered Kree if your father was Kree - this was established canon through Hulkling - who becomes the Emperor of the Kree and Skrull Empires.). Carol Danvers, even if her mother is Kree would not be viewed as a Kree by Kree culture. It also completely undermines 60 years of canon where Carol rose of through the ranks of the military by being a proud human woman who proved that a woman could be just as good as a man. This is what made her the feministic icon she is today (despite the way Larry Hamma of G.I Joe fame was allowed to treat the character) - not her time working for a women's magazine. Only now she's not a human - she's half Kree which makes her stronger than the average human. This completely trivializes her early backstory. Sometimes Thor can breath underwater and in space and sometimes he can't. Some writers care about continuity, others could care less. The best writers care about these things - Mark Gruenwald did, he put together a multi-page document on the Quantum Bands and required anybody who used Quasar in a comic to be familiar with it. The bands had to be drawn a certain way, the powers they gave to Quasar (or at least how Quasar used them) was very specific but left room for innovation. Marvel would even mail you a copy of the document if you wanted. Mark cared. Some editors will push whatever they think will sell out the door and care more about cash than continuity. This is comics history. This is a channel that can both love and critique something they love. Besides I'm done with Marvel, out. Modern Marvel is trash and I'm done supporting the mouse. This channel makes decent passive income but I've got other channels that get more love. I have to follow the money. Truth, while Disney rakes in box office numbers less and less people buy comics every year. It's like having a channel about stamps. The hobby is on the way out - that's why you're watching YT vids about books you can read for yourself right now - you don't need me. And I'm ok with that. You make it this far? Good... I make this just a little bit longer every time I repost it. Don't watch me, buy and read comics.

I do blame the writers, regularly, to the chagrin of some watchers. But I'll also give them praise when deserved. Warlock's story doesn't really take off in a meaningful way until Roy Thomas, Mike Freidrich and Jim Sterling get ahold of the character. Getting those episodes together right now.

@@Cosmic.Comics I got what Ur saying👍! My problems with BOTH Marvel Comics & The MCU , 4 a guy who carries the name of Marvel, Marvel Comics has written some of the 💩 shittest 💩stories in it's history & doesn't deserve the name. By comparison DC'S Captain Marvel ( Shazam ⚡) was Superior 2 Marvel ( 1 of the few issues DC is better 👌), he's much well known than Mar-Vel ( he's older ) & stories are fun & intriguing.

@@Cosmic.Comics I suppose it's poetic DC Lost the name Captain Marvel. Decades ago, Fawcett Comics lost the rights of Shazam/ Capt Marvel to DC. A smart attorney of Fawcett would win the argument of the fact, Shazam is based on 6 mythical characters who stories was told long ,long & LONG Before Superman 🦸♂️ was thought of . And then counter Sue DC for the rights of Superman since HE'S a corbin copy of Capitan Marvel! All about having 🧠!!

Over a fucking HOUR and you don't even get to when he BECOMES Adam Warlock. I can't get this hour back, you know... smh. You'd have made a much better video if you just summarised the comics covered in this video and then start the video proper where this one stops. What you cover, despite using over an hour of time, isn't the complete origin story. Thumbs down.
