~What is UKSRT8?
UKSRT8 is the latest installment in the mainline series of ITG mod tournaments created by TaroNuke, but stands as a full-blown collaboration between him and me. Using a heavily customized version of openITG, it serves as a showcase of the newly implemented features.
The story is inspired by the popular Atlus game series Trauma Center, following a team of doctors (the players) through their initiation into a well-renowned hospital to further their medical careers. But of course in typical UKSRT fashion, something happens and everything goes to shit.
~Where can I download this?
You can't yet! This tournament and the severely hacked version of openITG - what we call fuck.exe - are still quite easy to break and we aren't comfortable with releasing both of these. Fuck.exe will be released before UKSRT8 though. If you have any questions about it give Taro a poke!
~Is this even possible to play on pad?
Yes! All the stages are entirely possible to pass on a machine, though of course whether YOU can or not is dependent on your skill level. This is definitely the hardest tournament so far due to the entrants we anticipated, so we amped up the difficulty to really give them a challenge. If you want to see the entrants play these live and for the first time, check out the raw footage on Taro's channel or the playlist of all the videos on our channels.
~Will we see SHAME again?
Fuck yeah, you will. We actually have a story arc involving her that we're continuing in the next mainline SRT, UKSRT9 in August 2017. If you're interested in attending the event itself, look out for a future announcement video with the details and stuff. We always welcome new people regardless of skill level, after all this is purely for fun.

I really enjoyed the very ending parts of "Get Fucked" as it gets all blurred and trippy, showing that you're dying. It kind of shows that you're dying through the entire stage if you think about it, but it's done in a way that it doesn't actually fully show it, if that makes any sense. Also am I the only one who absolutely DESPISES the music for the bonus stage? Sure parts of it are great but the vocal throws me off and just sounds really bad for most of the times you hear vocal. One more thing, 10-1 is definitely my favorite song in the game. Either that or Kioku or whatever you call it, and Tang Pong.

UKSRT8 was started almost two years ago! With all the new additions to openITG (fuck.exe namely) it definitely needed the extra time to get used to and understand the potential of all the new things that were added :3 Also it gave me time to flesh out the story and do decent artwork for it x3 It'll be hard to top this one, but with UKSRT9, we will damn well try.

And I'm pretty sure she'd be fond of you, too~.. ;3c A lot of my character designs are practically on-the-spot brainfarts, SHAME is just a particularly good one :^3 There were a bunch of redo's from the original sketch I did about a year and a half ago, where she looked way more 'human' looking (a normal shaped face, smaller mouth etc.). Drawing her is so much fun and I can't wait to bring her back next time with even more wacky expressions uwu

Oh wow, these look even more amazing here. I'm pretty sure I'll have fun playing this (Even though I'm not the best at these.) I do have multiple questions, though: 1. The executable's name is fuck.exe, but will there be a linux(or mac) version for people like me who don't want to/can't run Windows? 2. Since I'm someone who plays on Stepmania 5 (though, I have OpenITG for when I can't run things (Or when I can't convert things to run) in SM5), is there or has there been consideration of an SM5 version (or an SM5 version of some stages)? (I think 5.1 has a new mods system allowing custom-made mods)

1) I highly doubt it :c 2) This is a possibility but for a very far-off future, due to the nature of a lot of the mods and code within the files. If we were to make a SM5 port sooner than later, a LOT of the effect would have to be removed or changed to compromise, and in all honesty it wouldn't be the same... But, we'll see what we can do! Right now the priority are the 2017 tournaments and UKSRTale :3

I'm not sure, but I think there is a very subtle visual effect where the the arrow should be.

It's a bit cheeky because it relies mostly on knowledge of the original chart it's based on, the hidden steps are ones that are present in original :3 Mawaru Simulator 2016 is pretty unbalanced due to the time constraints we had, we didn't have time to test it enough, BUT everyone who played it dealt with the same unfairness so in that, it was pretty fair all around :V If and when we released it, it'll be much more fair.

+CosmicLAER maybe the hidden steps are visible for only a brief amount of time at the bottom of the screen and then they disappear. Might be hard to time the Hidden/Sudden mods tho. Or taro will just add a pinch of pixie dust and magically make the arrow disappear without mods. Idk

So, here's the interesting and special thing about the Phantasm - Taro implemented a function called 'SetSongBeat' within fuck.exe that allows you to warp to places within a song (previously not possible in openITG!), so in the instance of you failing an operation, you would be forced to try it again from the operation selection screen. It basically allows you infinite retries until you pass it.
